Hi, thanks for your valuable edits to Peripheral myelin protein 22. I noticed that you changed the definition, thus essentially changing the very subject of the article. As a head up, the primary meaning of "peripheral myelin protein 22" will be a protein (specifically, growth arrest-specific protein 3 – GAS-3) whilst a gene coding for this protein would normally be the secondary meaning. If you see other protein-related articles on Wikipedia (e.g., here), a vast majority of them start with this accepted definition: "X is a protein which in humans is encoded by the X gene."
