Reaction Diffusion

Thank you for your work at

Reaction-diffusion. That's an important concept which needs a lot of work. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:22, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply

Re: Thanks

Cheers for all the links on my talkpage, I definately do need to improve my wiki style a bit, I have not done lots of edits on this wiki yet, but I am very keen to learn.

Reaction diffusion
is definately one of my biggest interests. I am a programmer though, on the visual-synthesis side of things - not a mathematician, so I probably take a slightly less technical angle on RD than most people who know it.

I was a bit disappointed to see how small the article was so I added a bit more basic info. I also have some original images that I can upload too which I will do soon.

Thanks again for noticing. (Danwills 06:58, 22 March 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Take it easy, it takes a while to learn the wiki style. :) Yes, images in that article would be very much appreciated. Note that when you upload them you need to specify under which license (GFDL, public domain) you do that. Cheers, Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 14:45, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nova fractal AfD discussion

I have nominated

Nova fractal at AfD - the discussion is here. Gandalf61 (talk) 12:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply

So, thankfully there was no consensus to delete. I reckon it would be great to have a page about lesser-known fractals. We could even collate some of the other ones that don't have much notability weight on their own (Burning_Ship_fractal, Lyapunov_fractal, Hofstadter's_butterfly, Tricorn_(mathematics), Gravity_set and add phoenix, the "magnet" fractal and potentially the fractal that results from using Halley's method.

deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion
. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi Ron, I see that Process Physics has been deleted again, before I had a chance to add Hangon. I made sure that the article contained a citation to the published research on the topic this time, making it substantially different to the previous article, in that it correctly establishes notability. I was hoping that this would mean it could avoid the criteria for speedy deletion.
Would it be possible to take it to vote again?
Thanks for listening, Danwills (talk) 02:33, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you wish to contest a deletion, take it to deletion review; do not just recreate it in different words. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:13, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Notice

The article Fractal lake has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Despite talk page requests in the past and some (brief) research of my own, no sources have emerged referring to this concept as such. Therefore seems to fail

WP:GNG
.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
