In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,

Not true. I genuinely did not understand that external links were only meant to be used for content that was directly referenced in the article. I thought that any material that was related to the article was allowed. Nevertheless, I accept responsibility for not reading the guidelines carefully. If you choose not to believe me, there is nothing I can do.
Please include a decline or accept reason.

{{Unblock on hold|1=YellowMonkey|2=Please unblock me. I now currently understand the policy and will not violate it. Your assumption that because I did not follow it two years ago I am clearly not going to change is incorrect. Please understand that some of us only endeavor to edit pages *rarely*. It is possible that we may be able to contribute more frequently to this community, but you are shutting people out by making assumptions about their motives which are untrue.|3=
