American badger

Hello Dodobird2004. Please use edit summaries. An edit summary would have helped me understand https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=American_badger&diff=1064098008&oldid=1056006540 for example. Invasive Spices (talk) 6 January 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for your contributions. I've reformatted some of your refs to avoid bare urls, and to italicise publication titles. You added a couple of refs, Hunter and Harmata, which should have page numbers or page ranges. Videos are not normally suitable as refs, so I've removed those. Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! — Anon423 (talk) 04:57, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, really, please use edit summaries. It really helps; when I look over the history for cleanup a good summary helps assure me that it's a good edit (since the new users, spammers, or vandals who break things usually don't leave them). — Anon423 (talk) 04:59, 7 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Owl reference

Hi - can you explain what you were intending to do in this diff? The citation isn't properly formatted, but it looks like you've put a date of 1837 for a book that, if I've got the right book, was first published in 1966. If you've got a copy of the book, and a page number for where it supports the assertion, I could fix up the ref for you. Girth Summit (blether) 13:22, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, the book is actually this :
https://archive.org/details/birdsEuropeIGoul/page/n198/mode/1up
and the page I cited was 199p
thank you for let me know Dodobird2004 (talk) 15:56, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
However, the other article already represent the predation about adult mountain hares so this citation is probably not necessary. Dodobird2004 (talk) 16:01, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
