I'll assume you are just being angry, rather than taking that as a coolly-considered allegation of fascism. Please consider, after your block ends, taking your wrangle over the depiction of eras to the proper discussion channels (on the talk page of

established practices concerning discussions and engaging in the beginnings of an edit-war. Please, edit-warring, failing to engage in discussions, then making comments about "political correctness" and fascism do little to strengthen your case. I changed the North Carolina Courage founding year and joining year to reflect reality. The Courage were NOT founded in 2016 and did NOT join the league in 2017. Only someone who doesn't know the league would think that. The Courage is the Western New York Flash, but relocated and renamed. If you would have taken half a second to actually look at the Courage page you would see they were founded in 2009 as the Buffalo Flash and were a founding member of the NWSL in 2013. To say the Western New York Flash is a former team is just wrong and ignorant. That would be like saying, in the NFL, the Tennessee Titans joined the NFL in 1997. Someone who doesn't know the team or the league and who clicks on the North Carolina Courage link will go to the team page and see that they were founded in 2009 as the Buffalo Flash. By you putting up incorrect information of the league site, will cause those people to be confused. My edit is correct and reflects the true history of the club. That's not what I said. Discussing/determining the facts is constructive behavior. However, repeatedly making the same change to the article after multiple editors have reverted it is not constructive. When there is a dispute, it should be resolved coolly with talk page discussion, not with

I have tried being civil, but when someone is making obvious malicious changes to the page, one must do what is necessary to stop it. I'm a history guy with sports history being at the to of the list. I operate a sports history site. Not only did I present to Bilaxx articles from the Austin paper and from Major League Soccer detailing the moves of the franchise from Austin to Orlando to Louisville, but even pointed out the Austin Aztex FC and Orlando City SC wikipedia pages state the same as I do---with a source in them as well. He hasn't the ability to admit when wrong and insisted on reverting back to obvious erroneous information that is not only misleading to readers who don't know the real story, but damaging to the credibility of wikipedia to those who do know the information first hand, like I do. I was living in Austin when the team came about and was an avid supporter up until they left town for Orlando. Some of the editors (I think there were two others besides him), I don't think looked at the entire discussion and were still asking for sources of proof even after I provided them. The start year for the team is on the page and is correct. The join year is, of course, not as the 2008 was the join year to the league that would eventually rename itself after mergers the USL in 2011. I've given up trying to convince these folks that when a league changes names, the new name isn't a new league. It's the same league. The USL began in 1986 as the Southwest Indoor Soccer League and added it's outdoor league in 1989 as the Southwest Outdoor Soccer League. There were mergers between the Western Soccer Alliance, American Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League (WSA-ASL merger), which renamed itself the A-League, only to merge again with the United System of Independent Soccer Leagues to only then split into Select League and D3 Pro League---then rename into United Soccer Leagues First Division and Second Division, only to totally reform and come back together in 2011 as the USL. I've been following all these moves, first as a fan and then as a journalist since 1995. I am fully confident that I know more than just about anyone when it comes to lower level sports. When people who don't really know what they are talking about continue to push their false narrative and continue to make egregious errors in reporting through ignorant edits, it's insulting to me and those who have followed and covered the many facets of minor league soccer over the past 20-plus years.Dsides12 (talk) 01:20, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
