Apologies

I was passed the image by the band for use on this page (Katie didn't like the picture of herself alone) and they assured me they had permission from the photographer to use it. I'll ask them to get him to email me proof of permission. How can I prove he's the originator? The original file metadata doesn't contain anything identifying as far as I can see.
