Hi DynamyteD, I had proposed your article for deletion because it has virtually just been established and there were no references by third parties to establish the significance and importance of this club. The article was then deleted by an administrator who agreed with my judgement. Wikipedia has rules about the
general notability and the importance of groups clubs and associations. I.e. only if there has been significant coverage by reliable third-party sources, preferably on a nation-wide level not just in the local media, a sports club and other institutions for that matter may have a Wikipedia article. Others are not thought to be noteworthy enough to appear in an encyclopedia. So if you can provide such sources that show repeated coverage of your club, like magazines, major newspapers or national TV broadcasts then you might want to give it another try and rewrite the article. Generally, creating articles about recently founded clubs, bands, companies, etc. is not a very good idea because they almost always lack the required level of significance. Hi, thanks for getting back to me and clarifying it for me. The administrator was TerriersFan whom I also spoke with and he cleared things up for me too so I really appreciate it. He informed me that he would re-instate the article to my user page so I can spend time editing it but is there a way I can make changes to the article and save the new edited draft without it going live? I would like to make changes to it without nothing going live just yet and perhaps submit it for review to yourself so you can tell me if it is good enough. There are other sports teams in the UK futsal leagues that have wiki pages, some do not have any external refference apart from featuring on the Football Association website under the FA Futsal national league section, would something like that be enough for me and my team as we are going to be playing in the same league. If you type in English Futsal Clubs in wikipedia it will take you to all the available pages where you will see some examples ie hereford and spartans, both do not have any coverage apart from their website and the FA's website. You might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Articles for creation where others may review your page before it goes live. But you could also continue your draft at User:DynamyteD/Northampton futsal club for trials. As to other futsal pages, playing in the premier league is usually sufficient to establish notability but regional leagues or minor divisions are not enough for any type of sports club to get a page accepted automatically, so your club really should have something distinctive that has widely been reported. Thanks for the help, much appreciated. DynamyteD (talk) 14:21, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
