- Thanks. I'll add some more external sources and scientific publications. Please do take into account the existing external sources from GBIF. My intention was to start the article (was actually surprised that it didn't exist yet). You might also want to check out https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waarneming.nl, https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waarnemingen.be, https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observation_International.
- Also, please be aware of the Conflict of Interest I declared on my user page. At the request of the authors of the de.wikipedia article, we made media available (see Wikimedia Commons, Observation.org).
- Let me know if there are any other concerns. dyve 10:48, 25 December 2023 (UTC)

- Thanks for taking the time to look at this. I have added references (websites and peer reviewed scientific publications), and the references to GBIF stating the position of Observation as the world's 3rd largest biodiversity open data publisher. I've also looked at similar articles for a good structure. I think it's better if I ask for some help from local Wikipedians to better adhere to guidelines. I'd also like to limit my involvement due to my CoI on this article, per Wikipedia guidelines. If there are any specifics in the article that feel wrong, please point them out.

Custom signature fix needed
Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Changes to Wikipedia's software have made your current custom signature invalid.
The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error or obsolete HTML tags.
The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, you can fix your signature, or you can do nothing.
Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
- Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
- Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (Do not click the red "Restore all default settings" button, which will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
- Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
- Click the button next to the error to learn how to fix the error.
- Update your signature to fix the error.
- Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.
Solution 3: Do nothing:
- In accordance with a recent request for comment, all invalid signatures will be changed to the default, which looks like "Example (talk)", one month from now.
If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:05, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

- Hi there, thanks for your concern. Most of the factual information was taken from the EURING website. Apparently the wording was too close to what is there. This was not my intent. I will recreate the article more stub-like (initially), taking care not to use any wording from the EURING site. The EURING site is not mine, I am not a member. I know the organization because we have been involved in the same research and I have been to some of their meetings. Dyve (talk) 13:52, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
