I just ran across your work on the Folger-related articles, and I must say that's good work. Thanks so much for helping improve the Shakespeare related articles on Wikipedia. If you have an interest in this topic area you might want to have a look at

Oh, and as regards your CoI notice; as best I can tell you've done the exact right thing both in noting the conflict and in your specific edits. Another tip if you often run into difficulties with CoI in editing articles is that there is absolutely no conflict of interest in listing good sources for articles on the Talk page of an article. Often just listing sources that discusses the subject is enough for other editors to jump in and do the writing with no risk of CoI conflicts. For instance, if the Folger were to list books that talk about themselves on the Talk page for that article, that would not run afoul of the CoI guidelines on Wikipedia. And I mention this because I've previously looked at the Folger article and wanted to improve it, but had no good sources to use for doing so. --Xover (talk) 08:28, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and another thing: often it is a big challenge to find suitably licensed photographs for Wikipedia articles. Even those subjects that have web sites with promotional images often use a restrictive license on the images. Since you say you occasionally work for the Folger, and they seem to have an interest in making sure their article on Wikipedia is of good quality, is there any chance you could ask them for some good quality photographs relevant to the articles and licensed under either the

Please note well that these licenses are very permissive, including permitting derivative works even for commercial purposes(!), and their only real requirement is to preserve the attribution to the original Copyright holder. Nevertheless, since the whole point of promotional pictures is to spread it as far and wide as possible this may not be incompatible with their goals; it's just important that they are made aware of the implications of supplying such photos, since the licenses in use on Wikipedia are quite different from what most are used to.

If they might be amenable to supply such photos I think a few good exterior and interior shots of the building(s), photographs of any picture or painting that might exist of Henry or Emily, and a selection of photographs of the Folger collections, would be very good for the articles.

Thanks so much, Xover. I will definitely ask whether some photos exist that it would be comfortable to share, and agree it would be helpful to add images if possible. That's also a very helpful tip re adding bibliography info in the Talk pages. Thanks again!
