Dear Edgar, This article that I originated about 6 years ago was deleted while I was unable to comment: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Copper_in_energy-efficient_motors. I contacted the lead critic (please see discussion at User talk:Tigraan) about how to revise and reinstate the article after addressing all concerns. I explained the importance of the subject material, the extensive amount of R&D taking place at this time, how these motors are being used today, and an extensive peer-reviewed reference list of published research during the past 15 years. He suggested that I include my comments on the article's talk page. However, I was unable to do this as it is closed now. Hello, In January you blocked this user for disruptive editing at Yuan dynasty. The editor continues to remove sourced content from that page without discussion ([1]). The user has been asked repeatedly on his talk page and in edit summaries to discuss the issue at the talk page of the article. He has made cryptic explanations of his concerns on his own talk page, and he made an inquiry at the Teahouse, but he has not discussed at the talk page of the article. I did not delete Brajwood. I removed the two no-longer-needed redirects Brij-wood and Brijwood. that redirected to the deleted article Brajwood. That article was most recently deleted by User:Rmhermen. I've tried uploading a new picture for Ramoplanin and the .svg file is producing random Hydrogens around the image and removing some Oxygens. I was wondering if you have advice on producing images without those errors or which programs you prefer. I'm using Chemsketch (.sk2) and Inkscape (.wmf) to create the picture files. I have had the same kinds of problems. As far as I can tell, there is no chemical structure drawing program that can reliably generate error-free SVGs. I liked the newest version of ChemDraw, but no longer have access to it. I currently use MarvinSketch but sometimes have to fiddle around with the SVGs in Inkscspe to get them to display right. Unfortunately, I don't have any specific advice to give you - I just fix things by trial and error when necessary. -- Ed (Edgar181) 01:21, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

FYI Looks like the self-reverting IP editor is back. [2]. Address is outside the previous range of IPv6 addresses. Haven't seen any other similar edits though from neighboring IPs and expanding to include this and old IPs would get unrelated contributors. Edgar181, I am asking for your opinion on this suggestion. I don't need you to publish your thoughts, just shoot me an online message. There are several other cases where I am suffering from the same challenge, and I'm hoping you might offer me some guidance. Is there an SPI or a named account associated with your 6 month block of this IP? I'm seeing a long history of multiple IPs making strange spammy mentions of various high school bands, song selections, and the Macy's Parade on talk pages. This IP made some of those edits. The behavior of both the IPs 47.17.68.177 and 2600:1017:b40e:f986:7938:6170:a82f:1b04 is consistent with what is outlined at User:Salvidrim!/Macy VG IP vandal. (nothing is found on their website) So I'm just stuck questioning why my chemistry book would make such a dubious statement if it is easily demonstrably false? If I recall correctly, IUPAC's published list of recommendations is not updated often - looking at their website I see updates in 1979, 1993, and 2013. You're absolutely right. Textbooks are created by humans and even "infallible" humans make mistakes (whether we admit it or not). My perception of reality is once again "smooth enough" (relative to cognitive dissonance) for me to forget about this "red flag" which is obviously kinda weird that a textbook would factually state a false, disprovable claim but I've learned in life it is better not to get caught up on trivial, inconsequential discrepancies which have absolutely zero impact upon your life unless you choose to get sucked into the rabbit hole. Better, instead, is to not sweat the petty stuff and worry instead about vaster problems like world peace, global warming, and the fact our sun will run out of hydrogen and swell in size until it swallows the earth. Not only that but one of my co-workers parks over the line at the parking garage and makes it very difficult for other cars to park beside him! I'm not sure I understand the argument about working in a field with high citation rates. If citation rates are high, then someone with little notability might appear to be more impactful than they really are by having their work more highly cited than they would be if they worked in another field - essentially resulting in a misleadingly inflated h-index. In any case, I realize this is a borderline case and reasonable people can disagree. I did give a reason. As the deletion log states, I deleted Paulin Edou Edou because it was a cross-namespace redirect. What that means is that there was no actual article at that title. Instead it was a redirect to Draft:Paulin Edou Edou. Such redirects are considered inappropriate and they are routinely deleted. It appears that the user named User:Eat me, I'm an azuki moved the article to change it to a draft. If you are asking about the draft article Draft:William Perry Woods and The Founding of the International Lions Clubs, it hasn't been deleted and there is no deletion tag on it. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, insofar as I am new to this entire Wiki-edit world. So, I simply chose to contact you because you were the last poster on the Scotch page.

Specifically, being a Scotch fan, I noticed that Dalwhinnie is listed as a Speyside when, in reality, it is a Highland (indeed, Dalwhinnie touts itself as being the HIGHEST distillery in the highlands). Anyhow, to the point - how does one go about fixing an entry in Wikipedia if the entry is incorrect?

Thank you kindly for pointing me in the right direction or, in the alternative, fixing the error on Wiki. You are welcome to take the credit for the fix, should you agree that Dalwhinnie is a Highland and not a Speyside.

I agree with Blake Gripling. First of all, the article was written entirely in Spanish and this is an English language encyclopedia, so it would need to be rewritten in English. Secondly, the biography appears to be about an individual who does not meet Wikipedia's notability criteria for inclusion (see

I can't give you a definitive answer without knowing all the details, but from what I understand it doesn't matter if you were the individual who wrote the text because the university is claiming the copyright on that text. Hi Edgar. Thanks for deleting Template:AIHL Elite per WP:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2016_August_23#Template:AIHL_Elite. Does the outcome of that discussion justify deleting the whole nest of pointless AIHL templates (and maybe even the associated categories too) under Category:American Inline Hockey League templates or does that need to be proposed separately? I'm afraid it is quite a deep structure of complete garbage. I can't see a valid speedy deletion criterion.
