Move help
{{helpme}}
Hi SuperHamster
I have created a new page (Australian Institute of Family Studies), and had some feedback via the requests for feedback page. I have addressed the feedback - but not sure what now? I don't seem to be able to publish it - I read something about a move button but don't seem to have it even though I have made more than ten edits...
Thanks for your help! It's a tough place to get around... :)

- That's odd, normally you should be able to move a page, since you do have 10 edits. Are you sure you're looking in the right place? We recently changed the skin of the website so some of the instructions might be a bit outdated – the move button will be at the top right, you might have to click on the arrow pointing down to see all the things you can do to the page. If you still can't find it then you could place {{Move draft}} at the top of the page and I'm sure somebody will move it for you. - EdoDodo talk 08:00, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- I disabled the helpme-template for now, I assume EdoDodo's guess is correct that the move-button is now within the drop-down menu. If you still cannot find it and cannot proceed as suggested by EdoDodo, please add a new {{]
- Sorry, yes, Wikipedia can be confusing at first. However, there are plenty of people willing to help.
- I think you probably want to move WP:NOTDIR.
- When you are ready to move it, you can just click on this: Special:MovePage/User:Ellyrobi/Australian Institute of Family Studies.
- You can either;
- Leave a message on my own talk page;
OR
- Use another {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of this page;
OR
- The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Chzz ► 11:34, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Whilst I was composing a reply to this, we spoke in IRC; I said, The fact that names are listed somewhere does not *necessarily* mean they should be mentioned in the article...as an example of that, an extreme case - if a person is mentioned as having a Sister, then the name of their Sister might be available on some company record...however, if Wikipedia were to publish her name, and it was not in other media reports, that would not be appropriate - please read WP:NPF. It is a 'judgement call' on a case-by-case basis; if they are public figures, and listed as you say, then it's probably fine. But be careful if people are not public figures. Yes, understand the issues. Thanks so much for your help. Ellyrobi (talk) 04:34, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello - I noticed when looking up an entry for Tyron Edwards that the actual title of the article is misspelt (i.e. it is spelt Tryon) - I don't know how to fix titles - would someone mind advising or alternatively, fix up the mistake? Thanks! Ellyrobi (talk) 10:03, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
Done Thanks a lot for catching that one. It's been misspelled for nearly three years. Favonian (talk) 10:55, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Ahem! Are you absolutely sure that his name was Tyron? Google searches seem to indicate that Tryon may be the right one after all :( Favonian (talk) 11:01, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- Well, this clinches it. His name was Tryon. Not a name I would choose for my son, if I wanted him to survive his school years. Favonian (talk) 11:11, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
- How weird, I swear I checked that. Sorry to waste your time! Maybe surviving the school years was easier in the 1800s... :)
- No problem. A welcome relief from vandal bashing, in fact. Regarding the 1800s, Tom Brown's Schooldays seems to indicate that survival wasn't easy back then :) Favonian (talk) 11:25, 18 January 2011 (UTC)]
- Sheesh...if you were deliberately burned in front of a fire and your name was Tom, I can't imagine what was in store for you if your name was Tryon...thanks again. :)Ellyrobi (talk) 11:31, 18 January 2011 (UTC)
