Hastings
Hastings does appear to use the Krivosheev figures. His claim of 352475 total casualties is straight from Krivosheev's work, but with the Polish casualties not included:
- Soviet losses in the “Berlin offensive operation” 16 Apr. – 8 May according to Krivosheev: 78.291 KIA/MIA, 274.184 WIA, total 352.475. Add Polish losses: 2.825 KIA and 6.067 WIA.
However, while the Krivosheev data says 78,291 KIA/MIA, Hastings somehow comes up with a figure of >100,000. I'm not sure how he did this math, and until someone can account for it, his figures should be left out.96.238.16.143 (talk) 14:33, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Hey, the edit conflict seems to have been resolved for now with some footnote and journal digging on my part. Take a look at the discussion. We seem to have established a high and low range for estimated deaths. Hastings and other tertiary sources have been moved to the footnotes, and Muller is now listed as a "german" estimate due to the book series that he wrote for being commissioned by the Military History Research Office of the Bundeswehr. -Megakedar (talk) 02:10, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Sorry EriFr, I will do that. I didn't realise you had made so many other edits, my mistake. I did read the article and I think it makes clear that it is all matches not just league. there were also the Spanish Super Cup and Joan Gamper games at the Camp Nou. Thanks Adam4267 (talk) 12:01, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot mate!
- Doesn't the article say that the average for the whole season (all games included) was 75,825? So, which games does the 75,158 represent? La Liga, Spanish Supercup and Joan Gamper?

RB Leipzig
Hi, sorry to bother you but I need some advice for the RB leipzig article. As you maybe already noticed, this user Nikebrand had an edit war with me, in which as a result I also was blocked from editing, because of contents in it. It seems like it gonna be going over like that again, where he wont let me edit his edits, even though I think I am just correcting it without changing any meaning and removing unsourced and unrelated contents.
Could I have your opinion how I should handle this situation? Thanks. MbahGondrong (talk) 21:57, 8 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for contacting me! I am very concerned about this user Nikebrand. Sometimes he adds valuable information, but unfortunately his edits are very often (1) far from objective, (2) lacking sources and (3) not written in proper English (normally the language is not a problem, as other users can help him with this). It appears to me that Nikebrand is a German citizen, I therefore find it interesting that he does not make any edits to the German article on RB Leipzig. Why is he so obsessed with the English article? I do not know what advice I should give you, as I am not familiar enough with the rules and sanctions of Wikipedia, but I think you are doing a good job. You got my full support. I will continue to keep an eye on Nikebrand, and I will not hesitate to undo or edit his edits when it is necessary for the reasons I mentioned above. Best regards /Erik EriFr (talk) 12:51, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- I see you live in Dortmund. I just want to make sure that I am not misunderstood. When I wrote that it is interesting that Nikebrand does not make edits on the German article on RB Leipzig, I did not mean that German citizens should not edit English articles. That would have been counterproductive and hypocrite, as I am not English myself (I am Swedish). I meant that I think his behavior is suspicious. I see that the German article is much more developed, and has many more editors. Perhaps he has given up on the German article to focus on the English article, were he believes he can impose his own views and perspectives without meeting resistance from other editors? EriFr (talk) 18:51, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- As this is Wikipedia, we need to recognize his right to contribute (I know that you already knows this), and I think some of the information that he adds is valuable. But I think we need to keep an eye on him, and I will help you with this. This is the only thing that I can suggest at this moment, as I do not know what appropriate sanctions that Wikipedia has for him, or how they should be invoked.
- EriFr (talk) 18:51, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your replies. It seems like he only revert my edits and not other editors, that I dont understand. Anyway hopefully we can make the article much more better with every contributions and correct any incorrect edits. Cheers!! MbahGondrong (talk) 20:08, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

My list of things to do is still long, and it seems like I'm the only one working with the article (we seem to be in the same situation here), so I do not feel I have the time to also work on other articles. I am sorry. Maybe I can help you later, otherwise, my advice to you is: set a goal for a number of seasons to improve each day or each week. Be nice to yourself, do not feel stressed, I made that mistake with the article on RB Leipzig. Remember that Wikipedia is meant to be interesting and fun. We are looking forward towards a long winter with many evenenings and nights to spend working on our articles. :) Kindest regards /Erik, Sweden

hello i changed many elements in 2 paragraphs about Brittany and its history because the article contained many wrong informations, including a fifth department in Brittany (that doesn't includes it since 1790 ...) this article is based on an old translation of a polemic french wikipedia article

you can also check informations on "google.com and you'll discover maps or texts describing Brittany https://www.google.com/search?q=r%C3%A9gion+bretagne&oq=r%C3%A9gion+bretagne&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.2591j0j7

The information on Bretagne.bzh says: "Lors de la nuit du 4 août 1789, les privilèges de la Bretagne, «province réputée étrangère», sont abolis, en particulier son Parlement ; la Bretagne est divisée en 5 départements en 1790.".

Hi there, thanks for translating the Rudolf Hellmann article! Just checking that you know about the Template:Translated page talk page template? I suspected that's where some of the text of the article came from but it doesn't say that on the talk page or in any of the edit summaries, and it should. -- asilvering (talk) 18:40, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Asilvering: Hi! I had no idea about that template, I have only seen Template:Expand language so far. Thank you for sharing this information! German Wikipedia do not always use a lot of inline citations, but instead general references, which are listed under litterature, or similar. That is quite a challenge when transaling. The template is very useful here! I have also translated Sportclub (DDR) into Sports club (East Germany) (however, I have also added a lot of other sourced content to the article). I will immediately add the template there! Thank you! Kindest. /EriFr (talk)
Creating this set off a couple of triggers, self published blog, etc. but the thing that caught me offguard was the tags. Was this translated from another language Wiki? If it was, you must give attribution ASAP on an edit, with the link in the summary. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 22:33, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- @History of Berliner FC Dynamo (1954–1989) (check this version: [1]). However, I have just expanded the section that covers the era 1966–1978, so I figured it was better to put the sections that cover the era 1978–1989 in a separate article. I plan to start working on an expansion of the history of the era 1978-1988 (the "Golden era") anytime soon. I will move the article History of Berliner FC Dynamo (1954–1989) to "History of Berliner FC Dynamo (1954–1978)". Kindest regards. /EriFr (talk) 22:55, 14 April 2022 (UTC)]
- If it contains any text from that article, you still need to give attribution, via Creative Commons license that we use. Just make an edit with the summary "This article has text taken from (wikilink to article)" to comply with the license. I know, it sounds odd to attribute when it came from here, but the license requires it. It's better to catch it now, early on, than later. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 23:08, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Dennis Brown: I did one edit. Could you please check if I attributed correctly? Kinest regards. /EriFr (talk) 23:19, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- That should be perfectly fine. We just need the chain of edits to point back to the people that did the edits. Otherwise, a year later, someone catches it, reports it as "copyright infringement" and people get overly excited. It's just habit for me, I do compilation articles, and lift paragraphs and sources from other articles, automatically give attribution. Really, even if it is just a source and a couple of words. Better safe than sorry. But again, that looks fine. Dennis Brown - 2¢ 23:25, 14 April 2022 (UTC)

If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Robby.is.on (talk) 13:30, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
