User_talk:Rob_Lindsey inappropriate comments

Hi I have been informed of inappropriate accusations about myself and my entries at the above page. You are mentioned and gave advice to google and test the page - which obviously has not happened.

I have updated many pages and am in the process of doing many more. The page mentioned was one of my early pages when I was learning the ropes and the speedy deletion was due to a lack of links rather than the content not being appropriate. I learnt how to link to information and I really take offense at someone saying that an award winning, multi published author is not suitable for wiki or that if such a person is listed it must be by themselves. I am a professional in the area of heritage and am on ministerially appointed committees and have been working in my own time at ensuring that the information on wiki for the Central Victorian Region is accurate. There are several stub pages I have improved, I've sourced and linked others and provided images.

It does worry me somewhat that someone can have something of this nature pop up on google without having checked the facts by clicking on the links or contacting me to see whether his accusation was true or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.254.125.77 (talkcontribs)

Please be more specific about what you are talking about and what you would like to have happen. I do not understand your concern. --Fang Aili talk 14:33, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1) Unfounded, unchecked accusation made on site which appears in google. 2) Even though the site checks out with the advice you have given and meets wiki notability requirements the comments remain on Rob_Lindsey's page. 3) The presense of these comments once they have been proven wrong are not fair and must surely constitute abuse. Admin coaching request

Hi, I'm GorillaWarfare and am hoping to receive some coaching to become an admin. If you'd like to coach me, please leave a message on my talk page. You can see my edit count here but don't be surprised when you see that I have 25 edits. That is because I recently forgot the password to my old account,

User:Theunicyclegirl. Here is my edit count from my old account. I almost have 2000 edits. I frequently revert vandalism by watching Lupin's filtered RCs. I also like to expand stubs, particularly those relating to cats or dogs. I am very good with user warning templates and speedy deletion templates. I sometimes respond on AFD. Thanks for considering me! --GorillaWarfare talk 16:57, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply

Hello Lori. It was deleted because it was written like an

Xmind
deletion

Hi, yesterday I just want to publish the details about the mind mapping software-XMIND here. But soon it was deleted. So can you tell me what's the problem happened? Thank you very much! Stephen

Hello Stephen. It was deleted because it was written like
advertising. Thanks, and have a great Friday. --Fang Aili talk 13:29, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply
]

Hi Fang Aili,

There's something strange going on at the XMIND page, and after trying to have something done about it, I see you were concerned in the past about the same entry, so perhaps you can advise me. I have twice marked the following entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XMIND as needing npov, being of questionable notability, needing cleanup and having excessive links. I explained the reasons in Talk. The article itself has been improved (it was horrible English at the beginning), but still has nothing to substantiate the page's notability, and still has three links to the same commercial site.

Two explanations of my actions in Talk have been removed (Talk is now empty) and all the history of the changes was removed. I edited, logged in, on 10th and 11th October, some anon editors made changes and SmackBot added dates. All of that was deleted from history. In view of the deletion of history, I reported this more or less as above on "Administrator intervention against vandalism" against the editor who appeared to have done it Briansun. Now, my report there has disappeared, does not appear in that page's history and the XMIND page history and my Talk entries there are still missing. There is nothing explaining what happened to my request for intervention on my Talk page. As you made similar, and in my view correct, observations about XMIND's page in July, I wonder if you have any idea what might be going on?

You clearly have a great deal more WP experience than I. Isn't it against Wikipedia policy to delete Talk entries (at least when points raised in them have not been properly resolved)? How does history get deleted? Is this just some problem with server replication, perhaps and all will be visible again in a day or so? I'd appreciate your advice. Argey 12:55, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I looked into it.
Xmind are somewhat different; you could try to sort that out and also figure out what the proper page title should be. Hope that helps! --Fang Aili talk 18:22, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply

Oof! Thanks very much for your help - I'll investigate now I have your useful hint. I did see something about redirection at one point and did a search in Xmind rather than XMIND, but it didn't get me anywhere. Argey 02:58, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's true, It is sitting on the highest elevation within 20 miles of the golf course. Would I lie about that? Applied Biosystems

Hello Fang Aili, On May 24, 2007 you deleted Applied Biosystems, Inc. citing {{db-advert}}. I intend to create a good new history page with good refs for this pioneer biotech and biochem instruments company, as a buildup to a new/same page for a major uncompleted company in ‎Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/List of notable companies. But before I get too deeply invested into it, I want to make sure it doesn't just get deleted. Just browsing on the surface of Wikipedia, it seems to have a singnificant history, as to notability, based on the "what links here" wikilinks, which are pretty substantial, for a never created/deleted page:

  • ABI (links)
  • Foster City, California (links)
  • DNA sequencer (links)
  • Leroy Hood (links)
  • List of genetics research organizations (links)
  • DNA sequencing (links)
  • PerkinElmer (links)
  • User:Ceyockey/List of companies by publication mention (links)
  • Talk:Oxoglutarate dehydrogenase (links)
  • Image:Str profile.jpg (links)
  • User talk:Tzyyga (links)
  • Robert Brownlee (chemist) (links)

Well, frankly, just based on this quick New York Times source that I just found, I am going to move forward with creating the page:

http://partners.nytimes.com/library/national/science/062700sci-genome-history.html

"The concept of

Celera grew from a surprising source, a company then known as Applied Biosystems, which made the principal brand of DNA sequencing machine used by the consortium's centers." Steven Russell 21:24, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply

I began to post information on a singer, Kristin Mainhart, but it was deleted. It was a bio on the singer, who has made contributions to various television soundtracks (including a recent inclusion on FX's Dirt). I hadn't gone back to update it with pictures, musical contribution links and stuff (I'm new to the codes, etc.). This artist is just like Amy Winehouse, whose bio appears to be in tact. At the time it was deleted because it did not assert notability, and was written in a promotional manner. It has since been recreated and is up for deletion. You have already commented at the link above. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 18:18, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I just removed the AfD from this article, Ernest Emerson. I just think it would be prudent to wait until tomorrow, when the article is no longer featured on the main page. I'm not going to be online a lot today, and I don't want to argue a lot about this, so if someone reverts me that's ok. I just think a little caution is warranted when the article is going to be seen by thousands of people today. Have a good day, Fang Aili talk 12:33, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article should never have been given FA status and you know it. The RFD does go back regardless of IAR whatever that may be. Albatross2147 12:41, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not interested in arguing the merits of the article. My only issue right now is the fact that a main-page article is going to have a deletion notice on it. Frankly, this looks terrible. This article has had featured status since March and I see no reason why we must discuss its possible deletion right now. --Fang Aili talk 12:45, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So if it's OK if an article is substandard just so long as it has FA status? I don't think so. You obviously have some issues being an Admin if you operate in such a high handed way. Perhaps you should submit to a review yourself? However I am prepared to compromise. Will you personally restore what you have reversed? Albatross2147 12:52, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see you seem to be living adjacent to the subject in Wisconsin. Is this clouding your judgement in this case? Albatross2147 12:54, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There's no reason to be argumentative. For the record, I'd never heard of Ernest Emerson before.
I will post a summary of events at the Emerson talk page. If someone else (not you or I) wants to restore the AfD, I have no problem with that. This will be my last post on the matter. --Fang Aili talk 12:56, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your role as Admin

So you don't want to talk about EE any longer - fair enough. So let's review your actions and the way you have used your Admin status today. First of all the Deletion notice states clearly that it should not be removed. So what policy gave you the right to do this? So far you have only cited another editor's view that it might look a bit odd. You have not clearly enunciated your reasoning ie. I queried what an IAR was and you did not explain this. Where does it say that an Main Page FA cannot have a deletion notice? Albatross2147 13:27, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have clearly stated my reasoning on the Emerson talk page. I have no interest in arguing with you personally. Thanks, Fang Aili talk 13:29, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great, now Albatross has reinstated a closed and tagged AfD in the article space. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 04:58, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ernest Emerson Deletion

Will you please resurrect the AfD which you stopped. The article is clearly unencyc and as it stands does not belong here. Any changes are reverted by the article's main author and so can't be cleaned up. Albatross2147 03:42, 4 October 2007 (UTC) i agree Albatross i have tagged the page twice for being a advert and suggested it was cleaned up but mike searson just to undo my tag, surly with so many people agreeing in one poll on the talk page 9 people said it needed changed and only three wanted it left as it was! surly it needs cleaned up! John joskins 08:24, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fang Aili: I think it was a mistake to remove a legitimate AfD tag, even though the article was on the main page. "Looks terrible" is disputable, and I think your opinion is wrong. I think it makes us look more legitimate than if we featured a puff piece without comment. An AfD on, say, today's front-page Kingdom Hearts page would look terrible, but for questionable articles that somehow slipped past the FA process (which IMO is obviously shoddy based on a couple of recent FA's), I think it strengthens our credibility. Anyway, please restore it now. Tempshill 16:54, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't object to running an AFD now that it's off the main page, but they are most certainly not allowed on the daily featured article. Raul654 20:55, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Raul. --Fang Aili talk 21:00, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Erica, I'd like to let you know, that I don't think there was anything wrong with your suspension of the AfD while it was on the main page, regardless of how the AfD turns out. Also this isn't the first time something like this has happened. [1] this archive from JoanneB's talk page tells that story. :) Happy editing. KOS | talk 04:01, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for helping out with cleaning up the prose in the Emerson article. I didn't realize it until you did it but as a knife collector "Art knives" means something different than it would to the average person, "decorative" might seem more fitting to folks who only know knives by what's in their kitchen drawers. Thanks also for the level-headedness and your honesty per the AFD, even though I don't agree with it; I know you were put in a tight spot by a vocal minority. For what it's worth, I have never had an objection to cleaning up prose in the article; only people removing citations and references, very few people will pitch in and help...most prefer to wave their arms and throw rocks. Regards--Mike Searson 03:32, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for leaving me a message! I appreciate your honestly also.
I just made more edits to the intro-- tried to make it flow a bit better, and took out some of the more advertise-y language. I took out the sentence about him being a sought-after instructor, etc, because the article doesn't talk any more about that. I also don't think the guitar line should be in there because there's only another sentence or two about that in the entire article.
Really, the article needs to be more about the man and less about his knives. W.marsh put it best on the talk page: "A proper encyclopedic biography puts a person in a historical context, compares him to his peers, explains his legacy.." .. and the article is far from doing that at this time.
Anyways.. these are just my ideas. I'm going to bed now. :) --Fang Aili talk 03:44, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Again, thanks. Like I had said earlier...this was originally 2 articles (other was called Emerson Knives)and this one contained a paragraph or 2 referncing the other one. One editor demanded the two be merged into one and I had been working on Combat Systems as a seperate piece...so all three were combined. The guitar section was a bit longer, but it was trimmed back for notability (it only debuted in June of this year!), so it probably looked out of place in the introduction.--Mike Searson 03:53, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adam Langer deletion

Hello, in May 2007 I created a page about American novelist Adam Langer, which you deleted. I am interested in recreating that page. Can you tell me how to prevent it from being deleted again? Thanks.Prufrock65 21:23, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I did a little Googling, and he appears notable. So I restored the page. Cheers, Fang Aili talk 18:16, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry first I am writing here, but the WikiPedia Talk section is extremely user antagonistic to persons with knowledge of the subjects on Wikipedia but not computer programming. I have absolutely no idea how to use it, so I thought I would drop this in your lap and see if you can use it.

There is a proposal on the hammered dulcimer entry in Wikipedia to merge it with the psaltery. I don't suppose the person who made this proposal actually -knows- anything about either instrument.

The hammered dulcimer is a trapezoidally shaped soundbox, with two or more bridges under pairs (or triplets or quadruplets) of strings tuned together called courses, played with mallets. They vary in size, and the courses are normally counted by the number of courses over each bridge from left to right (12/11, etc.)

The bowed psaltery is an isosceles triange in shape, with a single bridge at the base, and tuning pegs along the long sides. These afford spaces which the bowed psaltry may be be bowed with either one or two (one in each hand) low tension bows.

I have played the hammered dulcimer (mine is a non-standard size 16/15) and bowed psaltery (mine has 31) all my adult life, playing in Renaissance Faires, bars, clubs, aboard Naval ships at sea (the dulcimer was a traditional instrument in the Navy at the beginning of the XX Century - documented by photographs in books), folk demonstrations, a mediaeval music competition in Weisbaden, W. Germany, and at the 1993 Closing Ceremony at The Worlds Fair in Seville, Spain.

My mother has done the same sorts of things before me (and still does), as well as playing Irish harp, and has seven albums. I released one album while still in the Navy.

I once obtained information from the Library of Congress on the bowed psaltery for her regarding its age and origin. The information they sent back through their research indicated no linkage between the two insturments.

Although not an "expert," I think I know enough to say that they are not the same instrument. They do not look, sound, or are played the same. One might as well merge pianos, accordions, and concertinas because they all have keys. I strongly encourage that these two instruments, which only have a lot of strings in common, be maintained seperately.

Thank you . . . James K. [email protected] 24.119.221.235 19:19, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you submitted work to Wikipedia which you had previously published (especially online), and your submission was marked as a potential infringement of copyright, stating that you are the copyright holder of the work on the article's talk page helps, but will not likely prevent deletion. It is sufficient to either:

  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en at wikimedia dot org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation.

I just scanned back through your contribution history, and it looks like your style is similar enough to my own that this should work well. Thank you! :-)

Before we begin, though, can you review my latest kerfuffle over Lake Ontario Waterkeeper and User:StevenBlack, including this off-Wiki thread? If you think I did anything that will sink a nom, I'd rather give my spot to someone who has a chance.--uɐɔlnʌɟoʞǝɹɐs 18:30, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Huh. Ok. I don't really mind, but that is something people will complain about, rightly or not.
About the discussion at LOW, this was fairly uncivil. Otherwise I think you did a good job of keeping your cool when StevenBlack was pretty much acting like a bonehead. I don't know how the off-wiki link figures in. Does Steven run something called Fox Wiki? --Fang Aili talk 18:47, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Might be your browser fonts, Fang. I noticed that Chinese and Japanese characters appeared as boxes in my browser until I applied the language packs for the two languages. I see Sarek's sig as upside-down/backwards characters. Not saying it's in Chinese or Japanese...but the similarity of the description struck me. I know a couple of other users who had to change from the upside-down/backwards characers, I think Deskana had that at one time, he had a few complaints too.

Deleting of
Standard Register

Good evening. I was curious as to why you deleted my recently posted article on Standard Register? I am semi-retired from SR and dabble in communications. I attended a large public relations conference last week and learned much about social media and Wikipedia. I started exploring Wikipedia and found all of my previous employers -- except Standard Register. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to start my Wikipedia presense.

I understand it was tagged for having advertising-like text. I actually pulled the text from the SR Web site (www.standardregister.com) and pasted it into my article. I went ahead and did some editting to take out the marketing garbage, but then it was deleted. Can you give me some guidance on how to get it back? I can certainly edit it further if that is the issue. SR is a great company -- in fact, it is a leading company in printing and document management, and it well reknown in the Dayton area (it is number 6 on this year's InformationWeek 500 list of technology innovators, and it was recently named a finalist for the Dayton Business Journal's Business of the Year). Just take a look at the awards page on their site. Quite impressive and a great addition to Wikipedia.

I look forward to hearing back from you and getting your insight.

Labelman1939 23:12, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The biggest problem is that you pulled the text from their website. That made the article a copyright violation, and had to be deleted. If you'd like to rewrite the article in your own words, please be sure to first check
this link to make sure it meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Thanks, and have a great day. --Fang Aili talk 15:39, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply

Thank you for your insight. I'm going to go ahead and write what I know about the company for the article and keep from copying-and-pasting from the SR site. one question -- do I need to start my article from scratch with a new listing called Standard Register, or do you put my old site back up for me to edit? Sorry for the probably stupid questions -- please humor a newbie. Thanks again.

Oh, I see. Sorry about that. I didn't think it was appropriate to delete because users are generally given a pretty wide lattitude when it comes to their own userpages. Since this user has since made constructive edits (reverting vandalism), we can hope he will become a Wikipedian--in which case he can have pretty much whatever he wants on his userpage. Hi Erica/Fang Aili

Thank you for cleaning up some of the items in the WGA article. This article has experienced a lot of deletions and undos without much explanation in the Discussion tab and I've also been guilty of that at times.

The addition of the Disambiguation flag didn't fall into that trap though as a lengthy post is in the Discussion tab from 11/2 without objections. While the article is certainly not FORMATTED as a Disambig page, the SUBSTANCE is exactly that (in my opinion).

Do you agree or disagree? Either way I would welcome your thoughts in the WGA discussion tab.

Thanks! DirectRevelation 18:36, 6 November 2007 (UTC)DirectRevelation[reply]

Hello!
Dab
pages are for pages that are not encyclopedic articles. They're a navigation tool. I can see where you're coming from though -- the WGA is really two entities. But I think that more could be written about WGA, so we should keep it an encyclopedia article rather than a dab page. Does that make sense? Also, people clicking on WGA are looking for information about WGA, not necessarily WGA east or west.
Regarding the talk page--people don't usually post to the talk page unless there's really something to hash out. Minor stuff is usually just fixed without comment. --Fang Aili talk 18:46, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the superfast reply! A good point of contrast might be the Painters union which has a national structure with locals in New York, LA and other cities. Readers are indeed looking for information on the WGA generally but there's no such organization; just two small stand-alone groups with similar names. People are either using it as a Dab page or incorrectly generalizing as a result. That's what makes me wonder if the topic is inherantly flawed (rather than just one of many articles needing work) but I guess time will tell. Thanks again for your thoughts.DirectRevelation 19:17, 6 November 2007 (UTC)DirectRevelation[reply]

Hi Erica. You recently deleted the Magen Lacholeh article. Some users wanted deletion based on the lack of reliable and English ghits. Is this really WK's criteria? Should WK be limited to "Google Indexed English Language Sources". There is enough other (printed) information in the world to write a good encyc article. Such sources were provided but not given proper consideration. Please advice. -- Dandin 02:47, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I'm not quite sure on the language issue, but in this case I couldn't find anything in the English language that would indicate notability. I really did some searching before closing the debate. There were no mentions in Google news. Some 900 hits in Hebrew doesn't indicate a whole lot either, especially since that boils down to 58 unique hits [4]. Press releases from the organization are also not considered reliable. I hope this answers your question, Fang Aili talk 17:22, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Erica for your reply. None of the sources I used to write the article were press-releases, rather mostly articles from national and well known newspapers (see for example Article in Yated). The organization has newspaper clippings on their website, but this does not turn them into press releases. They are verifiable by anyone who contacts the newspaper and asks for a copy. The lack of ghits also makes it hard for me to write an article, but IMO is no reason to disqualify other (paper) sources of reliable information. I spent much time on research and want to fix this. Please advice. -- Dandin 19:17, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, those articles aren't reliable because they're hosted on Magen's website. They're also mostly in Hebrew, which makes them unreadable to most of us Yankees. The English language articles only briefly mention Magen.
What exactly about this organization makes it notable, in your eyes? --Fang Aili talk 20:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I understand what you're saying about reliability. However, I did not exclusively rely on their website, I wrote the articles based on actual paper sources from a few reliable newspaper articles that I have in my posession. The website sources were only added at a later stage.
What makes the org notable? First, frequent coverage in the national press and jewish press, including high profile cases they handled (religious leaders, politicians, etc). Second, they are well known to the general public and in the medical world as one of the most established jewish medical charities, receiving thousands of calls monthly (not just from jewish patients...)
nb. IMO the English article I pointed to you before in Yated does deal with Magen and Rabbi Fisher more than briefly. But the Hebrew articles should not per se be disqualified as reliable source. — Dandin 00:08, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
At this point I am out of arguments. If you like, you can take it to
WP:DRV, where the deletion will be upheld or overturned. I really don't mind if you do this, and if my interpretation of the AfD is incorrect, I will happily concede "defeat". Thanks and have a good day, Fang Aili talk 14:36, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply

OhanaUnited's RfA

You recently closed the AfD for the article Millennium Villages Project with the decision to keep. Although the number of comments that supported keeping the article was greater than the number of those who opted to delete, I think that the reasoning given to keep the article was flawed. In particlular, no policy based argument was given as to why the article should not be deleted. The article failed to cite sources out side of its own web sites, and fails even to clearly state what the Millennium Villages Project is (Vaguely refering to it as an approach). Arguments to keep frequently cited the nobability of its parent organisations, but notability is not inherited. Please contact me as I wish to understand your rationale before considering taking this to deletion review. Bobby1011 04:43, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The keep result was pretty clear to me. It is a really crappy article, yes, but it's a notable subject. It's a UN project, and it has been covered in various news outlets [5], including CNN Money and Scientific American. So citations are available, they just aren't present in the article right now. Hello! I saw your question about how to respond to something like this. My immediate thought was that this was some kid in-between classes, posting some nonsense. The tip-off was "you can run but you can't hide..." Presumably, if the poster really was a Director of Technology, s/he is an adult and would respond to you in a more mature fashion. My response would have been to ignore him/her, or reply with something like, "Hilarious. Go back to class now." Just my 2 cents. Threats don't get far with me. However, I did get an email from that editor a while later which seemed much more professional; I'm pretty sure that a student noticed the site, conversed with me, then notified the director. Or I may just be gullible, who knows.

Jackson Haines

Hello Fang Aili -

Are you still interested in the information in the German article about Jackson Haines? The text there is quite different from the English, and doesn't always agree with it. If you want, I can put a translation of the German here on your talk page and you can figure out how to integrate the two versions, since you seem to know more about ice skating than I do. I have no idea what language the German article's source is in, but it seems eastern European (not German and not Finnish).

Scbarry (talk) 06:24, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again -

I didn't feel like waiting for your reply, so here is the relevant info from the German site. You can do what you want to with it. :-)

----

Jackson Haines (born

Gamlakarleby (today Kokkola), Finland) was a ballet
master, figure skater and above all, the founder of modern figure skating.

Jackson Haines won the first US championship in 1864 with a new way of figure skating and new skates made of steel. However, he was criticized and accused of concentrating more on the poses of the body and the extremities than on skating the figures. The stiff and severe English style of figure skating still predominated.

He therefore went to Europe and put on many exhibition performances. The first success came in

Carl XV so much that he decided to found a Royal Ice Skating Society in 1866
.

In the winter of

Johann Strauss
offered him their thanks in their own way: one evening, 500 couples danced his waltzes on the ice! His performance became an impulse for the founding of the Vienna school, which soon balanced out the lead held by the English up until that time.

His athletic performances appeared to be so astonishing that those who didn't see them with their own eyes didn't want to believe them: they questioned the performance of the figures described. Depping, author of the work, "Zauber der Stärke und Können" ("Magic of Strength and Skill", 1869), wrote in his book that it was not possible to change direction without a new push. He rejected the statements of the eyewitnesses by saying that they were victims of an optical delusion.

The first true figure skater died of the results of a lung infection. He contracted it during a sleigh ride from

St. Petersburg
to Stockholm. He was buried in the small town of Galmakarleby in Finland.

The heading The King of Skating is the last evidence of the existence of a man who entered his name so expressively into the history of figure skating.

You have incorrectly deleted the Wonky House entry i put in assuming it was copied from another website, Tobious.com, whereas in fact Tobious copied my article and quite clearly state that Wikipedia is where the original article was published.

Please reinstate this asap as i was about to add to this and fill in more details —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nobbystylus (talkcontribs) 11:54, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm technically a member of some dozen wikiprojects, and haven't done a thing with them in months.. so I will refrain from officially adding myself to another project. :) But I will check out the page and see if there's something I can do. Thanks for the invite! --Fang Aili talk 03:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
