Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a

Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing
→ check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Daniel Quinlan (talk) 21:12, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded. A simple edit summary is helpful to your co-contributors. Thanks for considering these messages. Eric talk 19:49, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Please be mindful not to perform controversial edits while logged out, or your account risks being blocked from editing. Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Please stop with the logged-out edits. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 21:46, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

Per above, please start using edit summaries. Yes, really. Edits like this one are basically incomprehensible without an explanations. I don't know why you removed sourced content like that, but if you cannot explain in a summary, and it isn't extremely obvious, do not be surprised if you get reverted.
