Hi Fluss, you did a lovely job on the Women in Art article - and I love the images that you used - great job!!!! I cannot read German so I translated the article and was really impressed, great job. I hear the part about not needing help with any English-language articles and that you're looking to dial down your participation in Wikipedia, but if you find you would like help let me know. It's great to know that there are others who have really benefited by Modernist's support, he's helped me a lot, too. Regarding you helping me, yes, if you don't mind it being an open invitation that would be great. There are times where I run into things in German that I cannot quite translate, so it's nice to know that you'd be there for me to help clarify. All the best!--CaroleHenson (talk) 13:52, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"... run into things in German ..." Maybe sometimes we can support each other. I have been seeking in en:wp someone with whom it is possible, when neccessary, to talk subjects through, instead of getting just those machine like male stakkato commands and notes. I will not employ you much. When I know, someone understands extended thinking and talking, my communications can be shorter: less to explain, better feeling, relaxed solutions. Let's see - as the water flows down the stream ...--fluss (talk) 14:37, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, that sounds good! It's really nice for me, too, to be in contact with another woman.--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:31, 14 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It sounds as if you knew what performance art was before you came to the article "

Wikipedia:Manual of Style (lead section)#First sentence, the first sentence should: "[put] the article in context". As you yourself argue, "art" seems the appropriate context for "performance art", even obviously so. However, other possible contexts could include "art history", "formal analysis", etc. Hyacinth (talk) 00:57, 24 May 2011 (UTC)[reply

Presumably the term "performance art" being the first "translation trap", what is the second? Hyacinth (talk) 11:57, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
