Featured article candidate

Hi. I would recommend that you withdraw the nomination.

I appreciate your effort and your interest in turning this into a featured article, but it isn't ready yet, and the process of getting it ready would probably take you a few more months of work. If you're willing to continue monitoring the reviews and improving the article, then by all means, you should proceed. But your article isn't ready yet.

For starters, it's normal to get your article through the Good Article process first. A

Good article nominee needs to meet these criteria and go through a review process. Because the process is badly backlogged, it can take weeks, even months, for a volunteer to start your review. Once they do, they're almost always going to request changes. Once it's promoted, it will probably require additional work to meet the featured article criteria. Indigenous Environmental Network

Hello, Gmhardesty – I just saw your request for a copy-edit of Indigenous Environmental Network at Wikipedia:WikiProject Guild of Copy Editors/Requests. I noticed that you copied the instructions for listing a request and did not replace the instructions with your comment. It's all right – someone will accept the assignment and copy-edit the article when it moves up the queue – but normally editors substitute a comment for the instructions. You can write anything you want, and it can be short. Look at some of the other requests for ideas. If you are planning to nominate the article for Good Article status (use "GA" or "GAN") or Featured Article status (use "FAC" for "Featured article candidate") after the copy-edit is completed, you can mention that. The article Indigenous Environmental Network you nominated as a good article has failed ; see Talk:Indigenous Environmental Network for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article.
