CDisplay & Comparison of image viewers: Disambiguation link notification

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

List of common resolutions

Regarding your "reference needed" and edit comment... yes, that section of the article needs a lot of help, as does Display resolution. Not only do the total pixel counts not match the products of H and V, but the H values are all wrong - NTSC broadcast, for example, is closer to 640x480. I'd fix things up, with explanations, but I'll have to see if I can find an inexpensive copy of one of the standard texts on analog and digital television so I can provide ironclad references. Many people will flatly not believe the correct numbers even with references, and I can't just write up the calculation method without refs either. Jeh (talk) 08:18, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Jeh, your efforts are very much appreciated. Hopefully you will be able to find these standards. All the best. Hippo99 (talk) 22:18, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As a previous contributor to the above template, perhaps you'd have something to add to this discussion. Cheers.--Chaser (talk) 00:38, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I contributed a table for comparison. Hippo99 (talk) 03:45, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
