By definition, your work is "original research". Please read

reliable source that has published a table of highest non-medal finishes, and then you can reference that for the All-time Olympic Games medal table article. You cannot use your own synthesis of information from reliable sources; that synthesis must itself come from a reliable source. Thank you for adding content to the Rowing at the 1996 Summer Olympics – Men's lightweight double sculls article. I had previously reverted your edit because you introduced a number of problems. I'm not sure why you do that. Maybe you don't even notice. Here's a list of the problems for you to reflect on:

• The article had one inline source. The authoritative source for these kinds of events (Sports Reference). You remove that source.

Sports Reference is a dead site, it has not been worked on for Olympics in 3 years and is slated for deletion.

• The article had one category. You remove the category from use by putting a colon in front of it, thus leaving an uncategorised article.
• The article had a navbox. The article is linked from that navbox. You remove that navbox.

I'm not seeing the last 2 things you mention. If you corrected them, thank you.

• The article has links to a rower; the correct target for an article about rowing. You change those links so that they point to an actor.

The link was fixed to the correct rower.

I put my version in as the prior version was not complete.

What you need to do is edit the live article. Don't replace it with something that you create offline; that will never work and is guaranteed to cause problems. As for Sports Reference, it is not a dead site. It will be replaced with something else and Wikipedia is working with them on a process so that references don't get broken. It would be nice if you could leave those references alone; that will all be taken care of by a bot when it comes to it. Schwede66 10:27, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
