Hi I've fixed a reference to the article. Very hard to find. Got it on a German encyclopedia on worldcat just as I was coming back to write a comment to tell you I couldn't find a ref anywhere. I've removed the no inline citation tag. It the purest encyclopedic knowledge. This is the encyclopedia: Realencyclopädie der classischen Altertumswissenschaft Thanks. scope_creep 10:59, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for the patience.

Hi, I am one of the participants in the odd Cham Albanian NOR case which you have recently mediated, and I just wanted to thank you for your patience towards me, because my nerves with this never-ending NOR dispute, I admit, they have broke for good... We have been debating this NOR dispute on THREE separate pages, and you can imagine how this, for some users, can unfortunately be too much . I just passed by here to thank you and assure you that this is not your fault nor you have something to do with it. Just I really want to exit this counter-productive situation of a never-ending nonsense dispute and focuse on other but more practical things. Have a good day, and again thank you for your patience. -- SILENTRESIDENT 14:18, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Closure on Cham Albanians

Thank you for taking over the case. You marked the case closed, but didn't provide a close summary and didn't archive (box) the case. Since you are a new volunteer, I understand that is a nitty-gritty detail. If you want to write a summary of what you think the resolution is, I will be glad to handle the detail of boxing the case with a closure summary. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:06, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Robert McClenon, thanks a lot for helping me. Summary: "The provided sentences were found to not be OR." Is that good or should it be longer? Iazyges (talk) 18:09, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Question on Rollbacking multiple edits

Hello once again. This is my second comment in your talk page (and pardon me I did not intend to flood your talkpage with that many messages lol). The reason of this message is just to ask something I have noticed often, in the History logs of various articles: a feature called "Rollback" I have been a Wiki user for so many years, and yet, I haven't figured how to do that Rollback feature (aka, revert multiple minor edits at once). Can you spare just a mere a minute of your time and let me know how to do rollback and how to access this function? Well, I am not exactly sure if special privileges (such as Administrator or Moderator privileges) are needed for Rollbacking? Or is it accessible to regular users such has me? In fact, rollback could be handy tool because, in the past, I have had stumbled upon various anonymous IP users who often showed up and vandalized various politically sensitive articles such as the Balkans and Middle East, but their edits were spread across multiple history log entries rather than one single edit with a single history log entry. And thus, reverting all these many edits, one-by-one, by clicking on the revert button multiple times, can be tedious and I was wondering if there is any way to revert multiple edits with just a click? My apologies if asking you about Rollbacking is inappropriate or something, just I have no clue about it at all. Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks. -- SILENTRESIDENT 08:24, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, my question is now obsolete and can be ignored - rollback info found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Rollback . Thank you for your time and understanding and have a good day (And feel free to remove my messages from your talk page if you like) -- SILENTRESIDENT 08:42, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ping

To alert others the usage is Example not Example. Using User:Example will also alert the user, but doesn't add a @ in front of the users name as Ping does, which is mainly used when responding to someone in a discussion. SilkTork ✔Tea time 10:22, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply

Don't remove OR template until issue(s) have been settled

Please don't remove templates like you did here until issues have been resolved. You have no special authority as a [novice] DRN volunteer, even though you seem to be under the impression that your "instructions" with regards to the content dispute can be enforced by administrators. @DevilWearsBrioni: Here's a direct quotation: Any administrator[4] may upon request by a mediator, and after a single warning by either the mediator or the administrator, block, ban, or otherwise sanction a participant who continues to participate in mediation in a manner which violates the rules established by the mediator or the editing rights granted to the mediator.[5]
The user DevilWearsBrioni does not respect, nor adhere to the Wikipedia's norms and rules and he should be blocked by the Admins from further editing, especially on the article Expulsion of Cham Albanians. His disruptive behavior has already upsetted several users and caused quite a stirr with his methods of dealing with other users, and this cannot keep going on like that forever. Enough is enough! -- SILENTRESIDENT 14:14, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The user Iazyges has acted perfectly in accordance with Wikipedia's established procedures, and his action reflect the decisions made and consensus reached thus far. The user DevilWearsBrioni has repeatedly expressed his decission to not respect this through his actions on the Expulsion of Cham Albanians and his comments on the Noticeboard's talkpage and keep up with his disruptive way. I lack the necessary experience and knowledge for reporting a disruptive user to the Administrators, (in fact, I have not reported any users to admins for reasons other than 3RR violations on a Bankans-related page, a month ago) and thus, I can not be the one who reports DevilWearsBrioni to them. -- SILENTRESIDENT 14:18, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WP:INFOBOXIMAGE
). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! I removed your comment as not directly relevant, but will address it here. I know that the filing party was Chriswillclark. There were also IP edits, almost certainly by the same person. Some were before they created the account, and some were probably by forgetting to log in. I am waiting for 24 hours for the two editors to discuss. Pending changes reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

WP:VPP#Semi-Protection on large and/or GA/FA pages

I am extremely sympathetic to this proposal, and this idea has crossed my mind as well. The whole idea of the upper end of the quality scale is that A-Class and Featured articles are "

WP:FACR, the article is no longer "a thorough and representative survey of the relevant literature". Needless to say, this doesn't happen every day (especially when the topic is a timeless one such as the Atom
). And when it happens, a coordinated effort is usually needed to incorporate new reliable sources. IP and unconfirmed editors are rarely known to excel at this. Minor edits are usually not called for either; the articles have been recognized as "brilliant" prose and strict MOS conformity, after all.

Currently, the process goes like this: an article is promoted to FA status, and from thereon it progressively degenerates because of new users' additions of out of place material. Senior editors become alarmed by this and the article is listed at Wikipedia:Featured article review. Time there is spent on problems that could have been prevented, and the article gets delisted. For all I know, they could just revert to the version that was approved as Featured article before. The only exception is that external factor: has coverage in reliable sources undergone significant changes? That's also the problem that new users rarely help with, and so a problem that protecting the page would not aggravate.

Because of the "anyone can edit" dogma and the strict nature of the protection policy (both of which are, doubtless, virtues), I doubt the proposal will pass. Even if it did, WMF would probably intervene, like they did with Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)/Proposal to require autoconfirmed status in order to create articles. Perhaps trying pending changes is worth a shot, though. I think that at some point the community will have to take a serious look at this issue, probably when due to falling membership we simply don't have enough experienced eyes to mind those Featured articles – which were supposed to be complete. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 00:26, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Roman/Byzantine military history wikiproject

Hello Iazyges, I'd like to thank you for inviting me to participate, but at this time I'm afraid I'll have to decline. I have something of a passing interest in the subject, but really don't consider myself particularly knowledgeable on said subject. That said, maybe some time in the future I would reconsider.

SilentResident Have you refiled your case in the correct format? Iazyges (talk) 12:37, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In fact, because I have never been in AE before, I want to be very careful when I fill it in that format. Don't get me wrong, I do not delay it intentionally, just I never filled a AE report before in my life, and I learned that the reports here are filled in a completely different way than in the Noticeboard. So it is very different from what I used to know, so I will need a little more time before I can fill it. I want to do it without pressure so I can avoid any mistakes or problems with its format. :( -- SILENTRESIDENT 12:43, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Shule Kingdom

Hello Iazyges,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Shule Kingdom for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.
