Reason As The World Masterpiece

Hello, Ibitukirire, being that I have never read the book, it will be had to critique the article for factual accuracy. I will peruse your submission and make general observations here on your talk page. Give me a few days to conclude what I am doing. Fsmatovu (talk) 12:29, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on

section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://business.co.ug/profiles/religion/biography-of-sheikh-nuhu-muzaata-batte/ and timesug.com/sheikh-nuhu-muzaata-batte-biography-family-and-net-worth. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing
.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – NJD-DE (talk) 12:43, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's

blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. – NJD-DE (talk) 13:08, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply

Thank you and this is well noted, but that was not me Ibitukirire (talk) 13:36, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: The policy explicitly also mentions meatpuppets, which means recruiting others to support you or doing things you can't do. I'm trying to assume good faith here, but the IP with no prior edit history removing the CSD tag must have been a very convenient thing. – NJD-DE (talk) 13:56, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, now well understood @ NJD-DE , Thank you. Ibitukirire (talk) 14:10, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Undisclosed Paid Editing

Information icon

Hello Ibitukirire. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Haruna Sentongo, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Ibitukirire. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Ibitukirire|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Celestina007 (talk) 19:34, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @ Celestina007, i am honestly not being paid by anyone for the edits at Haruna Sentongo i tried searching him on Wikipedia and did not find his page yet he was everywhere on google and he is a notable subject in Kampala where i am currently living, when i typed in the search bar direct (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haruna_Sentongo) it brought an option for creating the page and i went a head until now. The same happenned with the deleted Nuhu Muzaata Batte, Following the death of Cyprian Kizito Lwanga , i searched and found his page and made my contributions and after which, i also searched the the recently deceased Sheik Nuhu Muzaata Batte, when i didn't find his page, i decided to create it until now, try checking my history since i joined Wikipedia and see. Ibitukirire (talk) 19:55, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop, if your edit pattern keeps tilting towards UPE you would invariably be blocked from editing here any further. Celestina007 (talk) 20:03, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well Noted @ Celestina007, thank you. Ibitukirire (talk) 21:20, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nuhu Muzaata Batte

Ibitukirire, the problem is you are copying word-for-word from your online source! That is "copyright infringement". It is not allowed in Wikipedia. What you need to do isgo back and re-write the same content, using different words or similar words but in a different order, but preserving the meaning. example: "Sheikh Muzaata was born in mid 1950s to the late Adam Muzaata in Lufula Zone near Kimombasa area in Bwaise, Kampala".

I would write: Nuhu Muzaata was born in Bwaise, a northern suburb of the city of Kampala, Uganda's capital, circa 1955. His father was Adam Muzaata, who lived in Lufula Zone, near Kimombasa Area, in the Bwaise slum.

My words are different, but the meaning is preserved. Now go to work! Fsmatovu (talk) 13:49, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much @ Fsmatovu, let me get to work Ibitukirire (talk) 14:05, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Haruna Sentongo for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Haruna Sentongo is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Haruna Sentongo until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Celestina007 (talk) 19:32, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For now, since i made the article, i will not make any further inputs until consensus is reached and the Article is cleared to be on Wikipedia, I made it because the gentleman is a notable subject and always talked about around Kampala. But i am open to all guidance and look forward to making as much contribution as i can on Wikipedia. Ibitukirire (talk) 21:10, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
As the creating editor you are within your rights to comment (but not 'vote' keep or delete) at the AfD. Also, if the cause of the AfD can be remedied by editing the article, that is allowed. If doing so, a comment at the AfD would be warranted. If, on the other hand, you agree that the article has flaws that cannot be corrected, do nothing and see where the AfD lead. David notMD (talk) 11:16, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For now i have realized the Article needs to work on to meet Wikipedia standards, let me clean it Very soon. Thank you Ibitukirire (talk) 17:15, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Analysis of references

First, that request should not have been made in the deletion discussion.

Second, it is hard work, maybe two hours work. I will consider it if the article is not deleted. Fiddle Faddle 12:37, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Noted with thanks. Ibitukirire (talk) 12:52, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In the meantime please note: For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, and is in
WP:SELFPUB
which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make any draft a clear acceptance and any article e a valid article to reman as an article (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
With this information you have the tools to analyse your own references. The one you just added to the Kiggundu article from Forbes is actually a press release (0.9 probability). Otherwise it would not contain the Ham Industries logo Fiddle Faddle 13:16, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, understood, thank you. Ibitukirire (talk) 17:55, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain the difference

Haruna Sentongo was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Haruna Sentongo

I see you have Draft:Sentongo Haruna in development

Please explain the difference.

I note your declaration, above, that you are not paid, broadly construed, for your edits here. However, I am concerned by your edit pattern and am asking you once again to declare whether you are or are not a paid editor. I see a determination to get certain articles onto Wikipedia. That is not generally congruent with your being an ordinary non professional editor. Fiddle Faddle 13:07, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
