Hi Ikiwaner. I believe this is the church you are looking for [1]. Now named Christ Church, it was originally named the "Church of the Redeemer". I asked a friend about it and fortuitously she had a copy of Emmett's book (the one in the link above). She left me a note today saying that according to Emmett, Prince Edward visited Nazareth in 1862 and donated 10 pounds towards the construction of the church. In 1866, the land was purchased, west of the Latin church. In 1868, Ottoman approval was granted from the Sultan and construction began in 1869. The church was dedicated with Kin Edward present in 1871. As you can see from the link provided, it still stands, though it is missing a part of its steeple. Hi Tiamut. Thanks a lot for your explanations. It's nice to see the church still standing too. I just have seen the biblewalks site and I asked the author for permission for these images. Unfortunately we have a Cc-by-3.0 license now which is considered unfree although Jimbo and others think it's free. If you can get an additional image with a CC-by-2.5 license it's even better. Hi Ikiwaner. I didn't want to offend you, but the image you removed is a very powerful image of an elephant looking, it seems, directly at the camera and seeming to consider what it will do. The body posture is unstable. It is a very dynamic picture. You didn't even move it elsewhere, you simply over-wrote it. I feel that is a significant loss.

When you say "Better is the enemy of good" you seem to want to make value judgements between your own and other people's contributions. I disagree with the judgement. Your picture is certainly technically better, but, if you will forgive me, it could be a statue of an elephant. The one I restored says much more to me about elephants.

The discussion you referred me to is about a picture of a front view and I see no criticism of that in the discussion. Nor is "isometric perspective" mentioned there at all.

Perhaps my comment about "sweeping away" was a bit fierce, and I apologise for that. What I had already noticed was that the three main pictures in
