Cryptosporidium

Hi, I saw your comment about Cryptosporidium in Template talk:taxobox. You're right, the taxonomy in the Cryptosporidium article was obsolete. Current phylogeny seems to show that Cryptosporidium does not belong under Coccidiasina, but there isn't yet a consensus on its place in the the hierarchy. It might form a sister group with Coccidia and Gregarinasina (see Adl et al, 2012). Recently, Ruggiero et al, 2015 fleshed out the taxonomy for the group, filling in gaps between phylum and family (class Gregarinomorphea, subclass Cryptogregaria, order Cryptogregarida), however their groups are new and there is not yet any consensus on their usefulness. In the interim, I've simply deleted the ranks between genus and phylum on the Cryptosporidium taxobox (as in Adl et al, 2012). When consensus forms around a new taxonomy, we can reintroduce the missing ranks. Deuterostome (talk) 16:44, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I apologise to bother you, but if you don't mind, I'd like to ask a question regarding the article Transposable element. I believe it should include some information on the so-called Class III TEs, e.g. Foldback (FB) elements (see: Pierre Capy et al., Dynamics and Evolution of Transposable Elements, 1998). What are your thoughts? Thank you very much. --Pinoczet (talk) 21:30, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
