More information for The Climb (song)
Hey, Liquidluck. I found some info about the climb on an interview with Peter Chelsom but I'm not really sure how to add it to the article. Here is the the link. Could you see? It serves as a more to add for "Hoedown Throwdown", Hannah Montana: The Movie, and the soundtrack. And there is also another source for "The Climb". Also, our conversations have been all over the place so let's keep it in your talk page. Just contact me by leaving the Template:Talkback on my talkpage. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 01:15, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Nice job finding these! The second source is alright; it's from MSNBC and published by Voxant. I'm still checking the reliability of the first one. Also, do you mind if we keep our conversations on your page instead? I copied your first message above. Liquidluck (talk) 01:44, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Also, do you have the source for the acoustic radio tour? I couldn't find one, so I marked it with a citation needed template. Liquidluck (talk) 01:57, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- The acoustic radio tour is a video in Hollywood Records' official YouTube. I don't think it needs a source since it is broadcast. Plus, tours don't usually have references. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 02:13, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks! Since it is controlled by the actual label, I think it merits inclusion as a source. I'll go ahead and add it. Liquidluck (talk) 02:19, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hey Liquidluck, I found over 23 different videos that could help us with all of this in here. They're really good sources, published MSN. It's going to help us a lot with different things. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 02:45, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Wow, nice! A lot of those look like interviews, which will be really helpful. I was kind of nervous about doing the HM:TM film article, but it looks like it's getting easier. Liquidluck (talk) 02:50, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- I know, I was skeptical too. But I know as we explore music we will find more and more. Plus, this will be a learning experience for me. I have no idea how to do a film article; I've only done music until now. It'll be good stepping out from my comfort zone. Same reason why I offered to do the video game. Plus, I want to make Mean Girls a Featured Article someday. I plan on doing it just after I make Miley Cyrus discography a Featured List and the songs from the first Hannah Montana soundtrack Good Articles. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 03:28, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Good Article nomination for The Climb (song)
Hey, I've been observing your efforts from my watchlist earlier and just wanted to say you guys are doing a good job. Is therre anything in my review so far that you're not sure about or not happy with? If you want me, just leave Liquidluck on my talk page! Regards, HJMitchell You rang? 02:03, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- HJ Mitchell, can you respond to my comment in the third bullet for "Live performances"? -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 02:21, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- One moment. HJMitchell You rang? 02:34, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- I've had a look at that sentence and essentially reworked the flow of the paragraph so it all fits together and each sentence leads into the next. You might want to have a quick look, just to make sure it makes sense. HJMitchell You rang? 02:49, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- I added the word "latter" in one of the last sentences to specify which performance it was that had her in an escalator and etc. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 03:04, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Also, can you respond to my comment for the second bullet point in "Background and release"? -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 03:07, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- OK, hang on 2 secs and I'll take a look. Btw, with the talkback temps, if you use Ipodnano05 it takes the recipient straight to this section. HJMitchell You rang? 03:17, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- I suppose that'll have to do if we don't have any names. It's just one of those things- you can't have everything, I suppose. It's not overly relevant anyway, it just would have been interesting. HJMitchell You rang? 03:20, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- O.K. So what about the dates of when things were found? -- 03:22, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well if we don't know to whom it was offered, we're unlikely to find out when. However, it would be good to know when Peter Chelsom got hold of it- I wouldn't fail a Good Article nom over it, but if you're looking to take it to FA... HJMitchell You rang? 03:28, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, we're definitely hoping for Featured Article nomination and very much appreciate your thorough review. We're still finding more details for the development of the song, so... is it a pass? Because I think we addressed all the issues that were brought up. And again thank you for the thorough review, it was really helpful. Plus, I think we're passing the article through a peer review before nominating it for Featured Article. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 04:02, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
- You're welcome- it's easier than I thought and if you're going to do it, you might as well make a thorough job of it. I'm just going to check the refs, it's last on my list but I can't honestly see anything that would fail it. I'll let you know when I'm done but I shouldn't be more than an hour. HJMitchell You rang? 04:15, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi! I was just browsing through
- Oh my god, thank you. I would prefer for Hannah Montana: The Movie (soundtrack) to be reviewed but that's obviously what you meant by "challenging" so would Ready, Set, Don't Go be O.K.? That one was just me. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 22:45, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

- Thank you... Lol, with "The Climb" I nominated 6 articles. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 22:56, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- You're most welcome. I thought I saw your name a few times on the list! I've officially opened the review but it'll be tomorrow morning (UTC/GMT) before I can give you any useful feedback so I'll drop you a line then! All the best, HJMitchell You rang? 01:47, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hey! Just stopping by to tell you that I've made my comments on the review page. Nothing major, mostly just dotting "I"s and crossing "T"s. Btw, User:EnDaLeCoMpLeX has been active in correcting some of the issues, so you should have even less work to do. Don't hesitate to drop me a line any time if you need anything. YAFYWBH
Hey! I've been looking for info on YALFYWBH, and I found this. Do you have any idea about what the Miley sessions are? I thought there was something like it for AOL, but this is Yahoo... Liqudluck•talk 04:04, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- Oh I wasn't sure if it had that. Well, the Miley Sessions are not live they are just basically promotional music videos. I added it to Let's GEt Crazy and it's GA. P.S. how do people get those designs for their usernames? -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 04:07, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- Go to your preferences (there's a link at the top right, next to watchlist), scroll down to "signature" and check the box for "sign my name exactly as shown". Then, type in a signature using html/wikipedia markup and click save. It'll be used whenever you sign. The code for my signature is <span style="font-family:georgia;color:#E8A317;">Liqudluck</span>•<span style="font-family:georgia;color:deeppink;">talk</span>. Everyone's code shows up on the edit page. Hope that helps! Liqudluck•talk 04:18, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- I don't get it. For the article only critical reception and some lyrical content is there. Is there anything? -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 04:42, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- You don't get how to change the signature, or you don't get something about the article? I've been looking for critical reception, but I haven't found any. Ugh. I don't get why reviewers won't comment on this song! It's the last number, after all. Still looking. Liqudluck•talk 04:49, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
- Lol... for real (about the song). It's the first on the album and the last on the movie, worth mentioning something. I don't get the signature thing. -- Ipodnano05 (talk) 04:52, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

I added your talk page to my watchlist, so you don't need to leave talkback templates for me anymore unless you want to. For the signature,
- Go to special:preferences
- Scroll down to the second block. It says signature and has a white box to type in. Beneath the white box is a box to check next to "sign my name exactly as shown".
- Check the box.
- In the white text box, copy and paste this (as an example): <font face="arial" color="LightSkyBlue">Ipodnano05</font>(<span style="font-family:georgia;color:blue;">talk</span>) (It'll show up as Ipodnano05(talk) )
- It won't show up on my preferences page, so it might not show up on yours either. After you save, type ~~~~ on your userpage, sandbox, or my talk (it won't look right on your talk, since the "talk" link will be bold) in order to test your signature.
- Play around with the code as you like. Font face is the font of the text, and color is the color of the text. I guessed you like blue from your userpage, so I put that, but you can put any color you want. There's a list of color names hex codes(put color="09F" instead of color="LightSkyBlue"). You can use any hex code or color name, you're not limited to just the ones on those lists.
Let me know if you have any trouble! Liqudluck•talk 05:24, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Back
Wow, you were amazingly fast with Back to Tennessee! I'm sorry I couldn't be active and help with that one and the others for the last few days - I had a really important research paper due for a really hard teacher, so I forced myself to be less active and to stay off completely the last few days and work on it (I haven't slept for the last two nights ;) ). But I'm back now, and the reviews I was doing are pretty much done (those are so time consuming, I don't think I'll be very active there) so I'll be active again! Is the article still at User:Ipodnano05/HT:TM? I think the crit reception for The Climb looks good, and I tried to copy edit it, but I could only find two really tiny errors. I hope the PR helps. Liqudluck✽talk 05:25, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Yea, I thought it must have been school, lol. Anyways, yeah the movie article is there. I need you for that one because I have never done a film article. Let's start. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 16:30, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
I'm working on the casting section. Do you think you can rewrite the plot section? I copy and pasted the old one, but I think it might be better to just start over. The song names should be in parenthesis, but they shouldn't be bolded. The entire summary should be about 700 words, the shorter the better.Liqudluck✽talk 00:42, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
- O.K. I'll get started on it soon, with midterms coming up I won't be logged in as often. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 02:06, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

I thought it might tickle you to know that Entertainment Weekly very likely used the info you found for The Climb in this article. If you click on "songwriter Jessi Alexander actually shopped it around to several other country artists first.", which is pretty much a paraphrase of what you wrote, you get to the Voxant video that you found ;]. Liqudluck✽talk 03:01, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- Gasp! Maybe People did to- although maybe not. They linked the voxant source, but nothing in the article looks very similar to The Climb article so they might have found it themselves. Liqudluck✽talk 03:13, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was gone for a few days beacuse I was on a trip to Atlanta. I see that The Climb has gone under several changes. For the cover version of The X Factor winner, I don't know if it should have its own infobox or its own section. Please tell me how you would put it. Also, I see that the song was pulled from it's Grammy Nomination :( Please reply. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 20:44, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. Hope you had fun in Atlanta! I hear the aquarium there is amazing, did you go? I don't think we'll be able to hold back the flood of X-Factor fans if we take out the infobox now that the single's been released. Before the winner was even announced, I removed infoboxes for it twice before I gave up. So far, the main body hasn't been vandalized very much, and I think we could get a semi protect if we asked (although the tide of edits/vandalism calmed down today). I think the main problem is that there will be a lot of editing with the release, it'll be on the charts for a while, and FAs are supposed to be stable. I think we should let the X-Factor fans keep the infobox and move it to a new article as soon as it charts- but the FA reviewers might think its better to keep them together. I added the info about the Grammy release to The Climb (song)#Awards and nominations, do you think it's okay? Liqudluck✽talk 23:28, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. I did have lots of fun, I couldn't go to the aquarium though - I wanted to but didn't get to it between shopping, the World of Coca-Cola, Underground and other stuff. I revamped the topic and put it in cover versions. Check it and make any corrections. You are completely right about the FA nomination. It's going to have to be held back for a while - until the cover goes down in charts. About the Grammy, I was a little confused when I first saw it beacuse I was like 'didn't she write it for other country artists'. Also, I wanted to know what your favorite music/tv/movie genres and entertainers were. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 23:34, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
- I guess the interest in the article really did slow down- the infobox hasn't been readded! Too bad the FA has to wait, it was so close. My favorite music genres are pop, alt. rock, and indie and my favorite movie genre is comedy (I'm absolutely terrible with horror movies). I don't know what my favorite tv shows are, I watch a lot of different ones like Saturday Night Live, Scrubs, Gossip Girl, and Disney Channel shows. I think the weirdest show I watch is Arthur. I loved it when I was little, and now I watch it with my little sister. What about you? Liqudluck✽talk 03:41, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
- Lol, yea I saw. My favorite music genres are pop, rock, alt. country, hip-hop, R&B. I really go all over the place. With pop im usually inclined to pop rock. It takes me a long while to get used to songs in more urban genres. I really like Guns n Roses with rock - my faves are "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Welcome to the Jungle", and "Knockin' on Heavens Door". As far as I go with country would be Rascal Flatts - sometimes it's a little too country like in "Backwards". I like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood very much. I like a lot of variety, part of the reason why Miley is my favorite (she has a lot variety). With movies I am the same as you are. With horror movies I'll die and have to sleep with my parents. I just don't get the point of them, to watch people die?? For TV I like What I Like About You, Wizards of Waverly Place, The Nanny, George Lopez, and mainly comedy though I like some like CSI and Medium (I bet you don't know this one, my aunt told me about it and I loved it). You would expect me to LOVE Hannah Montana, but lately it isn't as good - the third season was really good at the beginning and now its not. Cain't wait for the fourth season, they say they are making new characters and settings. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 04:04, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

Taylor Swift's discography or another Miley song? Have you got any more waiting for review? HJMitchell You rang? 03:01, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks so much. After everything in Taylor Swift discography is resolved I will nominate for FL and I'm going to do a Miley Cyrus discography as soon as some of my major points are discussed on the talk page in order to avoid what happened on Taylor Swift discography. Currently I'm waiting for about 4 review but I can see that you're reviewing Crazier. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 20:26, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- Indeed. I saw your sig and it was relatively near the top so I thought I'd add it to my to-do list. Besides, I like Taylor Swift! Give me a few hours and I'll get round to reviewing it for you! I need to clear my to-do list a bit (finish a copyedit on a future FAC firstly! I was asked to do it ages ago.) but I expect when I've done that, I'll review the others you have waiting if they haven't been done! GAN could really do with some more reviewers. Have you seen the queue lately? HJMitchell You rang? 20:34, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- BTW, I'll save you the hassle of talkbacks and stick your talk page on my watchlist! HJMitchell You rang? 20:35, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
- That's pretty cool and I know what you mean. I even decided to do my first review. Thankfully Legolas is reviewing about 4 or more. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 20:38, 11 January 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't own either of them. I'll try to stop by my library today to see if they own them. Liquidluck✽talk 17:44, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- By the way, I'm fixing stuff from the 7 Things review right now, and I see from above that Butterfly Fly Away is getting reviewed. Do you know if there are others open? Liquidluck✽talk 22:12, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- Wow, Crazier's been open for a while. Do you want to finish that review while I do 7 Things? Liquidluck✽talk 22:19, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Hey Ipod! I just finished the 7 Things review, I updated your FTs and GTs page with YAFYWBH's pass (hope you don't mind!), and I'll do Butterfly Fly Away tonight. Also, User:Mephiston999 (talk · contribs) helped with the YAFYWBH's pass and single-handedly took care of the Beautiful Eyes GAN. Liquidluck✽talk 04:17, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Taylor Swift sounds fun =]. I might not be huge, but I'll definitely work on it! Liquidluck✽talk 04:17, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, and my library doesn't have the EPs, but it does have both albums- but they're both on massive hold lists. I could request them and supposedly get them if need be, just not this month ;]. I also have the digital copies, and while those don't have personnel, I can make as many samples as you want! Liquidluck✽talk 04:24, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Taylor Swift
Hi! So, I've been procrastinating on music and lyrics because I honestly don't know what to write. It seems like the things that are included in that section in other album articles are already covered in the development section. Do you have any ideas? Liquidluck✽talk 06:24, 15 February 2010 (UTC)
- The development section has stuff on how she wrote it. It doesn't have the instrumentation of the songs, the genres, or the lyrics. As far as instrumentation goes you cant find a lot on the About.com reference - some songs have banjo, guitar, and more. The genres is ultimately divided into two: the traditional country and the modern country. As for the lyrics, I should probably remove the reference to Drew so you can talk about that and many songs, including the singles, have not been described lyrically. I also advice using Musicnotes.com for the instrumentation and other things. Have you already checked out the album from you library because I think we need the studios that she recorded in for the infobox. And I have been searching through biography articles and I think we should start on the Miley Cyrus article in User:Ipodnano05/Sandbox. Any of the big changes we'll discuss on the talk page of the actual article in order to avoid what happened on Taylor Swift discography, which truly makes me sad. Most of my hard work is really gone. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 16:37, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

The first video released for "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home" was from The Miley Sessions. The second video uses the excerpt from Hannah Montana: The Movie. In the music video section of "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home" you put the movie excerpt first as if it was the first video released for the song. People whe read this article will think that the Hannah Montana: The Movie exceprt came before The Miley Sessions version. I disagree with the recent changes you made to Taylor Swift discography regarding removing the New Zealand certiications, the RIANZ is reputable & I don't think that being a smaller market is enough reason for removal. Please consider. Nowyouseeme - Tà£k 13:36, 15 March 2010 (UTC)

Taylor Swift album
I don't think you properly looked through all of my changes. It's fine if you want to keep some of the information in there, but there are a lot of unnecessary things included in the article that aren't specific to the album or (at least as I see it) necessary to the lead. e.g. The page contains an artist background, which doesn't seem appropriate to the album page since it is also located in the artist page; most well done album pages that I've seen don't include this type of information. The lead also contains information about Taylor Swift's individual awards, e.g. Grammy Award for Best New Artist, but fails to link this information to anything pertaining the album. I think, as an artist award, this information should be located in the artist page unless the connection between the album and the award is made clear. It discusses her music as a blend between country and pop, but the genre listed for her is country pop -- which I feel makes such a long sentence redundant. Also, IMO, NPOV is at risk through the use of certain verbs that don't procure neutral connotations, i.e. "spun." This is an encyclopedia, not a press release.
If you want to discuss what information you feel should be kept in the lead and what should not, I think that is a more appropriate and productive discussion. I don't think you need to discuss her search a producer in the lead, for instance; I feel that it would suffice to say *in the lead* that it was produced by Nathan Chapman. The rest of the article provides that detail and depth. Assembled (talk) 19:27, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Miley project
Hey, I was just browsing your userpage (it's still on my watchlist) and noticed you proposal for the Miley Cyrus Wikiproject. I think it's a brilliant idea and I've offered my support. I just wondered if you'd thought of spamming article talk pages or regular editors in the area? I only ask because I have a surprising number of Miley-related articles on my watchlist and this is the first I've heard of it. Best, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 11:05, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, thank you. I probably should. I'll start with her article and some others with high traffic right away. Thank you. -- ipodnano05 * leave@message 17:58, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
- Glad to be of service. I think you'll find a fair bit of support for it, it's just a case of finding the people who would be interested. If you can be bothered, you could try contacting the most prolific editors of some of the articles, but certainly a note on her talk page should attract a few people, since there are quite a few talk page stalkers and other interested people there. Have fun! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:19, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
