Big props to you.

I was procrastinating today and reading about WikiProjects, so I ended up going through all the newsletters for WikiProject X, and that final report on Meta almost brought me to tears. I've also had the experience of funding not going far enough as shrinking teams go through the motions on projects that continually run over cost estimates while everybody becomes depressed at the launch getting further and further away. It fucking sucks, man!!! I offer my condolences for how it turned out, and my heartfelt thanks to you for sticking it out for as long as you did. Thanks! jp×g 04:55, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@JPxG: Aye. But funding not going far enough is (potentially) fine. Getting stuck in the mindset that you need to deliver as promised regardless of how far the funding went, on the other hand, is another matter entirely. Context varies, but with these kinds of projects it's rarely so simple, and we do not owe our very sanity to the movement...
With grants, we owe what was funded, and the relevant reporting such that whatever problems arose can be avoided in future projects. We do not necessarily owe whatever we thought that funding could do. -— Isarra 03:56, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Graphic Designer's Barnstar
Thank you for making the Timeless theme (which I found out was a thing from Ghostarchive, and not Wikimedia, suprisingly). Its a cool theme, Wikimedia should make it the default. Rlink2 (talk) 15:17, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
