INXS collaboration?

I notice that you've made some recent edits to

Lead section. A few days ago I saw that the article's Lead was still in poor condition (it was expanded a little since but not by much: certainly not enough for an article of this length) and there were a few other problems with the article being assessed at B-class (see criteria and my discussion on its talkpage
).

As indicated there, rather than demote the article, I decided to try to beef up the Lead and do other edits to get the article up to genuine B-class (or even GAN?). I am quite willing to collaborate towards this end. I started by adding details to the Lead but another long-time editor Jgm deleted some information relating to high charting Australian singles and albums: I have asked for clarification regarding this deletion. I indicated that the Lead should have these for the casual reader to know that this is the group they are interested in reading about. I would like your opinion on this and would like to reach a consensus of how the Lead should look with both you and Jgm; for comparison check my last edit of Lead with Jgm's edit of Lead. I concede that I tend to become too wordy at times and hence a second or third set of eyes is useful to keep it clear and succinct.

I have made other edits to the article including adding the Early years section and expanding on The Farriss Brothers, their time in Perth, reason for name INXS, early manager Gary Morris and I have supplied quotes and refs. I intending moving through the article and editing it section by section (see its talkpage for more discussion). Your assistance in any and all these endeavours would be appreciated.Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 09:03, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with much of what you say, I've made a revised attempt at the second paragraph and placed it at INXS' talkpage where I'm awaiting feedback from Jgm. I'll restrict future discussion on the article to that venue for ease of communication. You're more than welcome to jump in whenever you like. As for consensus, I believe it is possible, despite disparate focuses, to arrive at some level of agreement. More information on notable Australian charting and information can be included in the main article it does not have to be in the Lead.Shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 22:12, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
