Information icon Hello, I'm Largoplazo. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Bachata (dance) have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Request for Clarification and Apology for Unintended Misuse
Dear Wikipedia Editors,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my sincere apologies for any inconvenience my recent edits may have caused. It has come to my attention that my account has been blocked due to concerns regarding the promotional nature of my contributions. I assure you that it was never my intention to misuse Wikipedia for advertising purposes. I was trying to link a small excerpt of the subject topic on an external page.
In my enthusiasm to share information, I may have inadvertently crossed the boundaries set by Wikipedia’s guidelines. I was attempting to cross reference with my excerpt on the topics. However, I now recognize that my approach might have been perceived as an attempt to drive traffic to advertise, which was not my intention.
I am committed to contributing positively to the Wikipedia community and would greatly appreciate any guidance you can provide on how to appropriately add value without violating the community's standards. Could you please help me understand which aspects of my contributions were viewed as promotional? This would help me avoid similar mistakes in the future and align my edits more closely with Wikipedia's policies.
Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to your response and guidance on how I can be a constructive member of the Wikipedia community. Jn20.varez (talk) 19:35, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You added links that led to an advertisement for dance lessons. The only information on that page was about the lessons and the organization giving them. Largoplazo (talk) 19:40, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How do I fix my mistake? Jn20.varez (talk) 21:26, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

According to zerogpt.com, this was generated by an AI. We have no interest in AI chatbots editing Wikipedia. Yamla (talk) 21:19, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

The instant I saw you mention AI, Yamla, it hit me that that explains exactly the creepy nature is of this "user"'s responses, particularly the surreal disclaimer of promotional intent while inserting a link to an outright advertisment in multiple places. Thanks for the tip-off and the lead to the GPT analyzer. Largoplazo (talk) 21:38, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

They get reasonably easy to spot after a while. Eventually, maybe the LLM's will be good enough, but they have a long way to go yet. --Yamla (talk) 21:39, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am confused of why you think I am AI?? I son't appreaciate you calling my actions creepy. I had no negative intentions with my wrongful edits. I saw similiar edits and that is why I did it. I can show them to you.
