speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Jamie Masse. If you do not believe the article should be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -David Schaich Talk/Cont 17:10, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Rick Downes. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://www.ndpkingston.org/rickdownes.php in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Rick Downes saying you have done so. Copyright issues Rick Downes

Copyright is a very serious matter here, so we can't simply accept the word of any editor that s/he is the copyright owner of a web site, as we have no verification of any user's identity. So if you want to use that text on Wikipedia, please do one of the following:

  1. Add to the web site a notice saying "The contents of this site are released under the
GFDL you may use the Creative Commons attribution or share-alike licenses, the Mozilla public License
, or simply declare that "The copyright holder of this site allows anyone to use it's content for any purpose including unrestricted redistribution, commercial use, and modification.")
  2. send an email from an address listed on the site as being a site owner. Include in this email a statement such as

I hereby assert that I am the creator and/or sole owner of the exclusive copyright of WORK [ insert link ].

I agree to publish that work under the free license LICENSE [choose at least one from http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Copyright_tags ].

I acknowledge that I grant anyone the right to use the work in a commercial product, and to modify it according to their needs.

I am aware that I always retain copyright of my work, and retain the right to be attributed in accordance with the license chosen. Modifications others make to the work will not be attributed to me.

I am aware that the free license only concerns copyright, and I reserve the option to take action against anyone who uses this work in a libelous way, or in violation of personality rights, trademark restrictions, etc.

I acknowledge that I cannot withdraw this agreement, and that the image may or may not be kept permanently on a Wikimedia project.

DATE, NAME OF THE COPYRIGHT HOLDER

send a copy of this email to "permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org",

HOWEVER ... the text itself does not look as if it complies with Wikipedia's

conflict of interest policies. --ROGER TALK 15:10, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply

Regarding the article on

Wikipedia Guide to Layout, and with an encyclopedic tone. Also remember (and this is very important, in order to not get your article deleted), make sure that you have secondary sources cited. As it sits now, regardless if you have the authaurization to use the copyrighted material, your article will probable get reccomended for speedy deletion under the notability guidlines
for just that reason. If you need any help with this I would be more than happy to help you with it. Don't get discouraged just yet

Orphaned non-free image (Image:RickDownescampaignweb2.jpg)

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media
).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:29, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jamie Masse, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: User:Jnova123. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on
