AuthorityTam
User:AuthorityTam has resumed editing today and has immediately made a misleading claim about me. I have therefore re-opened the previous unresolved ANI where various proposals were suggested. I am advising you because you were substantially involved in the previous discussion. Please see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Resuming_AuthorityTam_ANI.--Jeffro77 (talk) 6:30 pm, Today (UTC+10)
- I've gone ahead and re-proposed everything that I did last time, as this is getting ridiculous. There's an article on here about WP:UNCIVIL altogether; as I pointed out, each edit alone is unworthy of a ban, but taken together, they establish a pattern of behavior. Mark my words, this AN/I will do nothing, the involved parties will cool down for a week or so, and it will be back at AN/I by the middle of next month. St John Chrysostom Δόξατω Θεώ10:52, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
- The criteria for AuthorityTam's expressions of contempt of other editors is based on editors he imagines to be former JWs, which only make up a very small number of editors. Because of that, he seems to imagine that his behaviour is somehow acceptable. (Although I've explicitly told him years ago I never formally identified as a JW, he continues to claim otherwise, most recently at the last ANI). Because there are therefore inherently limited complainants, admins at ANI dismiss the issue.
- What other action would you suggest?--Jeffro77 (talk) 08:40, 1 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry, I didn't see your message - I've not been much on Wiki recently. I'd propose following John Carter's suggestion, as I believe AN/I will never turn out results in this case as long as current behaviour continues, and seek a hearing at the ArbCom the next time someone would take this to AN/I, but not before then. St John Chrysostom Δόξατω Θεώ 07:17, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

Request for comment on Theosophy page and Theosophy Talk page
Hello,
An editor of the Theosophy article and its Talk page created a Request for Comment involving both the article and its Talk page. Now I'm asking five to ten uninvolved editors from the religion/philosophy section of Wikipedia:Feedback request service to comment on the Theosophy Talk page.
If you are able and willing to comment that would be appreciated.
Sincerely,

Extremely Misleading Edit
Not only did you insert blatantly false information here about something which you referred to as a hoax, but you placed it in between the previous sentence and its source, implying that the sentence was sourced to the citation that followed your insertion. Your false information stayed in the article for more than 10 months until another user deleted it That was very poor form on your part. 24.217.97.248 (talk) 02:37, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Request for help
Hi there! I saw your name at the "Available translators" list, and I'd like to ask you whether you could translate the quotation which appears in the "Political views" section of the article called Felipe Camiroaga. It's in Spanish, and even though I think I could re-translate it, I'd rather leave it to someone with a better command of the languages. Thanks in advance! Diego Grez (talk) 00:19, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
{{Tanakh OT}}
Hello! Last time I expanded {{
- I intended to nest the list in such a way that each additional section was an expansion on the ones above it - not exclusive of it. Maybe this should be made more clear somewhere, that what comes after is inclusive of what comes before; i.e. deuterocanon is inclusive of Old Testament, anagignoskomena is inclusive of deuterocanon and Old Testament. The first part of the template already lists "Tanakh", and I believe this is proper, as, even containing the same books, they are divided differently, and translated differently (i.e. Jews solely from the Hebrew; Christians often with influence from other ancient versions), and the Christian OT always is attached to an NT, whereas the Jewish Tanakh never is: we should not make it redundant with "Books of the Bible" (there was a TfD on this a few months ago, and that's when the Christian OT and Jewish Tanakh got folded in to one template). I'm trying to eliminate cruft/reduce cruft/redundancy and streamline the template by listing only those books considered canonical by a "major tradition" - this is somewhat subjective, but I believe the fourfold division of Judaism (Samaritans and Karaites are virtually non-existent today), Eastern Orthodoxy (i.e. Seven Councils Orthodoxy, that's why Psalms 152-155 aren't there), Catholicism, and Protestantism is appropriate, or, more accurately, the three-fold division of "Hebrew (Tanakh, Protestant OT), Greek additions (anagignoskomena), Latin additions (not really canonical, but it's where the deuterocanon comes from in the Latin Church, through the Greek, as the full Greek LXX was not retained as canonical)".
- For those "minor traditions", I believe another template is called for (or a massive rewrite of the current one, with additional nesting for "other/minor Christian traditions", as the Prophets are doubly nested), just to make the current template possible to navigate (i.e. with Syriac and especially the Broad Ethiopic Canon, all lumped in under "apocrypha", one could not tell what traditions used which books, nor could one even begin to navigate the template unless one already knew - templates should be a guide to those who don't know, not a cheat sheet for those who do). In addition, labelling those books used as canonical by the Greek and Latin Churches as "apocrypha/something else" demonstrates a bias, as surely as naming those other traditions as pseudepigraphal (although in my experience, the Syriac Church uses a 66-book Bible today, as does the Coptic Church: I have never been to an Ethiopic Church, but, from what I understand, the Ethiopic Canon is exclusive of a good number of the books in the LXX and Vulgate canons: e.g. 1-3 Meqabyan are used, but the Maccabees are not canonical, which requires a break in the flow of the template and much additional information to be provided at best; one has to stop eventually, or the template will be eventually a Table of Contents to the New Jerome Commentary or Hermeneia); I do not intend to make a statement on canonicity in their own traditions by removing them, but just to make the list more usable, and to not lend undue weight to traditions that are, today, very minor.
