No problem, I'm not quite active. Anyway, I would prefer not to receive ^ that automatic message. I know nobody typed it himself for me, exspecially for me, for if you, Bhadani, had read my User Page, you'd seen my German account and could have checked my edits there and found that I'm quite settled in WP. Wonderful user boxes
Saw your comment regarding permission to photograph Amish people. I left a comment there, It seems to be more an issue of politeness than legality. Not that manners can be over emphasized. But it is a much milder issue for the Amish, than several Oceania and Amazon peoples who believe their life, or their soul is being diminished or taken away when photographed.
But my primary reason for writing is to compliment you on your great user boxes. And herewith, a couple of mine. CApitol3
- Thank you so much! As I recall, the Amish don't believe their souls can be captured by depiction, so you're right. TALK • DE 01:03, 5 October 2006 (UTC)]

- Please do not use "undecided" as a GA review result. Pass/Fail/Hold are your options. Undecided would fall under Hold. These last for no less than two and no more than seven days (extensions can be granted under certain circumstances). Seven days is the typical hold period, however. A detailed list of issues found needs to be listed as well. Periodically check progress. Once issues have been addressed, promote the article. If they are not met within the hold period, fail the article. If you only have concerns that you want to point out without actually doing a review, just leave a message on the article talk page and leave the GA/N page alone so that another editor can take the review.

Hello Jonathan. I am aware of the meetup though it is highly likely that i won't be in Athens on the 31st of March. Your note about the Friedrich Solmsen article was much appreciated. How nice of you to take the time to leave it. Cynwolfe (talk) 21:40, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- I seem to remember not being sure about Solmsen's year of birth based on whatever info I had, so yes, it's best to go with your source. I've written a very few articles on classical scholars, and most of them are quite insubstantial, but when I rely on a scholar frequently in writing other kinds of articles, I like to have a link to lend some substance to their authority. My user page has a list of articles that are mainly my work; the only one on a scholar that's anywhere near as developed as Solmsen's is Pieter Willem van der Horst, because after I wrote my usual bland stub, someone left a note pointing me to an extremely interesting controversy he was involved in. The only modern scholar I plan to develop a "real" article on at present is Elizabeth Rawson; I've now got the goods to do so, but must finish up a few other things I'm working on first. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Albert Herrmann, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pilsen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
