- By all means, use it as you wish. I happen to think it's not the best photograph of the subject--it never turned out like I intended--but I'm glad you have a use for it. Jonathunder (talk) 15:24, 12 December 2013 (UTC)
Permission for use of image
Hi Jonathunder, I was wondering if I could edit your photo, File:4MeasuringSpoons.jpg, to outline the different spoons according to their respective articles. I saw the notice about posting on your talk page before changing the photo. Thanks! Newyorkadam (talk) 23:38, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Newyorkadam
- The photo is hosted on Commons where the description is a wiki. Like editing here, if you see a way to improve it, please go ahead. You don't need my permission to do that. Jonathunder (talk) 23:58, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
- Great, thanks, will upload soon :) Newyorkadam (talk) 02:39, 3 January 2014 (UTC)Newyorkadam

images of Minnesota
Thank you for article creation of biographies with infobox and persondata and plans for more, for quality images of The West, including historic monuments, for seeking agreement, sweetness and "best wishes", - you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Lake Vermilion State Park
Hello Jonathunder-- After some habitual confusion on the proper spelling of Vermilion, I converted your redirect to a stand-alone article on the park, now that the DNR has a page. It is a stub only and I may not do much more on it, at least for a while, so if you,

Question, did you seriously tell me to "drop the stick" regarding a conversation that stopped 36 hours ago? I'd drop it, but I can't remember where I left it when I dropped it Tuesday.--Cube lurker (talk) 00:42, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- No, I have never addressed any comment to you and I don't think we've ever interacted. You can go back to enjoying your semiretirement. Jonathunder (talk) 00:56, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
- If that part of [1] wasn't addressed to me, (I guess both parts were for Kevin), then I misunderstood. If so, my apologies and carry on.--Cube lurker (talk) 01:06, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 29
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Robert Eatinger, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scott Muller (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: Your warning
I am guilty of using incorrect tags, being new to Wiki editing, for that I apologize. I used the appropriate tag for the most recent upload.
But get your facts straight before issuing your warnings. In MN, all government data is public, unless specifically protected. The photo I am uploading is public domain per the Minnesota Government Data Practices act. Robdoar (talk) 15:42, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, the photograph you uploaded is public but that is not at all the same thing as public domain. Wikipedia cannot borrow text or images simply because a state government agency puts them on a public website. Jonathunder (talk) 16:00, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Please cite the MN statute that states a public photo has any sort of protection that prevents Wikipedia from using it. Or is this an ambiguous Wiki policy? Robdoar (talk) 16:31, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- This 1995 advisory from the Minnesota Attorney General says in the first sentence: "State agency data constituting original works of authorship are protected by federal copyright law." The specific laws which lead to that conclusion are discussed there in great detail. Jonathunder (talk) 16:40, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
The legislature is not an agency, but I'm tired of going in circles. I won't post any further edits to any pages, and you can be content in ignorance. Robdoar (talk) 16:50, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- If you read the entire opinion and the statutes it cites, you'll find it covers all works produced "for hire" by employees of the State of Minnesota in the course of their official duties. I'm sorry you think I'm ignorant, but this is a subject I have studied in depth and I could help you understand if you are willing. Jonathunder (talk) 17:04, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
Hello
Great seeing you on the highway. Made me happy and gave me a good smile.
