Disambiguation link notification for August 27

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bahamian cuisine, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Triple B. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

February 2022

Information icon Hello, I'm Martinevans123. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Tom Jones (singer), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:38, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing out that IMDB is not a reliable source. I was not aware of that.
Although I can't recall, I may have tried to re-post the material before I saw this note, thinking it just didn't go through. Unfortunately, I am now being accused of being in some sort of "edit war".
Once again, I thank you for pointing out my mistake. I apologize for any unintentional offense. Jupiter3000 (talk) 19:25, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Tom Jones (singer) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Graham87 08:13, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was not aware that I was in an "edit war" with anyone. I only thought I was adding cultural information.
I don't remember now, but if for some reason, I re-posted information, it was only because I thought that the original edit didn't take. My intention was merely to point out Jones's cultural contribution to the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
I now realize that the edit was removed because "IMDB" is not considered a reliable source.
The information I added is not of great importance, but I now feel accused of something that was not my intention. I apologize to anyone that I may have accidentally offended. Jupiter3000 (talk) 19:14, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
