Nury Vittachi

Moved

Vittachi to Nury Vittachi. Actually, 100% certainly seems like a consensus to me. :) In cases as straightforward as this, a listing at Wikipedia:Requested moves isn't really necessary anyway: any logged-in user can move an "obviously" wrongly titled article, provided there's no clash at the move target. Alai 16:15, 5 October 2005 (UTC)[reply
]

Of course, I'd forgotten about that restriction! It's not really designed to stop "newbies" as such, but is a recent measure to try to thwart a certain notorious page-move vandal. Keep making those vital spelling corrections, and you'll be "in good standing" in no time, and able to make all the moves ypu like. :) Alai 04:27, 6 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Zabriskie picture

The thing is, Frank Steele is already attributed - as is his right of course - in the Image:David zabriskie portrait.jpg page. I have no real qualms about it, it was just a reflex deletion as it looked like selfpromotion. So this seems like a good compromise :) Poulsen 13:36, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stuart O'Grady Photo

I NEVER gave my permission for my copyrighted photo of Stuart O'Grady to be used. I only rececived an email telling me that you were using my photo. Sorry, but I am not giving you permission to use any of my photos, ever. Do not repost my photo. Do not use any of my photos, period. - Alden Tanaka

Kelly says: He probably shouldn't have used the Creative Commons license on his photos then. Fixed! Quite a pity really, because it is a great photo.

Supreme Court image

If you are really the copyright holder, then please change the license of the image at the source (Flickr), such that it is compatible with WP license (BY or SA). The source of the file is still not compatible. It is now CC-BY-ND-2.0. If you don't change this license at the source, then I have to revert back your image license to the same license as the source. — Indon (reply) — 02:54, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CSC/Puerto

I just think you forgot to close the ref again, with a </ref> tag, and the ref didn't stop until the next </ref> tag, at Cuesta's ref. I think the Puerto article is a little messy, some subsections might be a good thing, plus it has refs in that one section header, which should be cleaned. Poulsen 11:40, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds good! I tried reading through a few refs but couldn't find the exact facts needed myself. Poulsen 13:07, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lotto et al

I've been doing research, which is quite difficult due to the lack of English language sources, but I have been using the websites Cycling4all and Cyclingnews, to try to trace them back. Cycling4all is very good, but I don't think it qualifies as a reliable source so haven't referenced it. Anyway, as I understand, Lotto-Domo was a new team in 2002, mainly built upon Lotto-Adecco, and using a lot of Domo-Farm Frites staff and riders too. I think because they were different teams they deserve their own articles. I think we need a wider debate on when teams qualify for new articles - I'll start one at the Project talk page...

Changed the infobox on the Robbie McEwen page to the new one - slight change of picture order, please do revert the pictures if you feel it's better. I also started a discussion on how team pages should look

UCI press releases

UCI press releases always seem to be final - until two weeks later when a new final one is issued ;) Remember during the summer/autumn that the UCI said that Active Bay would have a ProTour licence and that Astana had no chance after missing a deadline? I think we'll just have to see when it all shakes out!

Mk3severo 12:27, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply

The news sites say that Fuerteventura-Canarias (which is based on the set-up of the old Communitat Valenciana team), Aurum Hotels (which used to be Naturino-Sapore Di Mare) and Team L.P.R. (or whatever it will be called having merged with Team 3C Casalinghi Jet Androni Giocattoli, the team of Davide Boifava) applied for licences but did not receive them (they only speculated why, there isn't a strict limit on the number of ProConti teams). Also I'm confused with what has happened to the Miche team - they seem to have just disappeared as none of the news sites have anything about them and they don't have a licence! The only thing I can think of is that they have something to do with the Tinkoff Credit Systems team... Very strange

Team CSC

I don't think it was a good idea to remove all the individual references to riders entering or extending their contracts, they contained additional information (such as what the riders and teams expectation were) that might be of interest the reader.--Per Abrahamsen 11:50, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think you removed the stuff from this page and put it elsewhere. I'm just not sure if maybe there needs to be a link on the page directing the reader to it. I couldn't see one. I may quite well have missed it and admit I wasn't up to wading through all the talk page. SuzanneKn 21:55, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can explain it in one word - mistake. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll remove that tag right now. Regards, --Roswell native 15:32, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Jean shrimpton.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Jean shrimpton.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on

I'm pretty sure NNDB doesn't actually own that photo, so we don't actually have the original source or copyright holder. Kelvinc 02:31, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I think that the Bazzar's cover would work well, and I defer to your greater knowledge on the subject for this one. Officially magazine covers aren't fair use for just depicting the subject, but since this one is obviously quite well-recognized, it's good for the article and the facial recognition would be an added perk.  ;)

Yah Wikipedia's been a lot more stringent on copyrights now than it has before, and after going through the process of securing the release of the photo currently at Yésica Toscanini, I appreciated a whole lot more the difficulty of the process. So I started to rummage through other articles on models to see how many people took the easy way out and just slapped on a "fair use" sticker on copyrighted photos. I thank you for your friendly and helpful attitude: it's a lot better than the occasion where my {{fair use disputed}} of an image and removal of said image from an article were just reverted by the uploader. New Norcia, Western Australia

I'm new to Wikipedia and still learning, hence no explanation about the text I removed from the article yesterday. I removed the "Abbey" section as it was verbatim the text from the Old Catholic Encyclopedia, the link for which already appeared in the article. I thought the link was sufficient, with no need for the text to appear as well. Rjw9459 12:25, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

2008 UCI ProTeams

I done a bit of work on this at the 2008 UCI ProTour page yesterday actually. There seems to be a few minor changes, Ag2r are changing the sub-sponsor, Saunier Duval seems to be dropping Prodir as a sponsor. Also, who knows, maybe High Road will have a sponsor before the year is out? Unibet seem to have dropped out, their licence is being withdrawn. This is the link for everything, but we'll have to wait another month for everything to be official! SeveroTC 10:38, 6 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
