I can understand the disclosure policy, which is why I simply set the page up - it was a commercially released UK film, but we are a small company and so it does fall to us to make sure that these things do go up. I haven't editorialised however or written anything about critical reception and so on, as I could see where that could get dangerous. I was only setting up the page as part of the film's release, I wouldn't be editing it, other than adding the rest of the cast. Is there anything specific I need to do in terms of disclosure?

I'm not being paid in any way to edit, that's why I ask.

I have now found the correct format for unpaid contribution and declared my interest on the A Dozen Summers talk page. Is it now possible to remove the "close connection" tag on the page?

You might not be getting specifically paid to edit but as the film director you are editing about a subject for which you are getting paid for your work on. Your post on the talk page of the article you made is actually a good notice (or something similar) to have on your userpage. I suspect the film likely merits a page and as it stands now the article is not overly promotional or biased- thought your statement "it does fall to us to make sure these things go up" suggests there is a promotional element in your rationale for creating the article, even if it isn't promotional itself. The conflict of interest policy basically means that anyone associated with the article subject should take great care in editing about it and seek review by others. As long as you do that and clearly state your involvement(which you have), any issues should be minimal. There seems to be a lot of confusion on the image page. You are saying it's your image but then there is a lot of information about this being a copyrighted image and it being used under "fair-use". It is only your image if you either designed the original poster or are the copyright holder under some commercial arrangement e.g. the designed was under contract to the film company and you are an authorised officer of the company. Hi. Yes, not 100 percent sure of the procedure here. I am the copyright holder, but it is the promotional poster for the film and, as such, available for use on the page but not to be modified or used commercially without the usual permissions. Ok, then the only way it can be used on Wikipedia is under the fair use rationale. This is because Wikipedia policy is that free materials must be licenced for reuse and/or modification and for obvious reasons I can see why you wouldn't be agreeing to that.
