I have added an article from a secondary source that features this company. I know one of the problems was that most of the media references to this company only cite it's data and are not about the company so hopefully, this helps. If not please let me know what I can do more.

The addition is a start, but I think more sources are needed. As it stands, there is a chance the draft, if moved to mainspace, might be deleted for being an unremarkable business. So long as you are working to improve this article here in draft space, it won't be deleted. Please work on getting more sources. If you find two or three more, I believe it will have a better chance to be accepted. Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 21:22, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thanks very much for reviewing the article, and on Christmas Day as well! I would really appreciate it if you could answer a couple of queries I have about your feedback. From your comment I didn't quite understand whether the problem was wholly to do with my referencing, or whether regardless of that I still hadn't demonstrated the subject's notability. The Companies House refs are just there to verify that the companies mentioned exist. The refs from the company this person heads are to verify TV or radio appearances. They are video clips hosted on LCP's Youtube account because they're not available directly from the sources (Sky News, BBC etc). Should I cite them in the way laid out in the guidelines instead (i.e without referring to youtube at all - [[1]])? Or, are you saying that even if I do the above there would still not be enough evidence of notability? I hope that makes sense. Thanks very much for your help. Francesca w (talk) 16:29, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My advice is to find more independent, reliable sources that can attest to Heaton's notability. If possible, cite her appearances on the media outlets, straight from the media outlet themselves (if those sources exist, which may or may not be the case). In the case of the Companies House cites, this is an article about Heaton, not the various companies, so it's not too relevant to her. I believe a couple more indpendent, reliable sources are all that's needed for this article to be accepted. Thanks! Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 03:50, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for creation: Risk Control Limited (rejection)

Hi kiteinthewind,

You rejected my submission on the aforementioned article based on the references. However, all references come directly from the Bank of England, which is a reputable institution (and that's an understatement). I understand they are pdf's but they are still being published by one of the most well known institutions in its industry. The WSJ has also mentioned at least one of these studies https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-changing-face-of-the-corporate-bond-market-1511501401?mod=e2tw I also reference researchgate.net and independent publication, DefaultRisk, Companies House a government institution, risk control, SUERF the largest finance forum globally, TED a European Tenders platform (government), Imperial College Business School, all to prove that not only the industry takes them very seriously but they are recognized by their peers and third party organizations.

What can I do to improve the artcile and get it published? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Risk_Control_Limited — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vbuendia1016 (talkcontribs) 20:26, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at the cites you have provided, not all of your references come from the Bank of England (which, while well-known, is a governmental organization, and consequently, in my opinion, not independent). You have at least six cites from Risk Control, which, given the context of this article, cannot be considered independent (a company talking about itself is not independent). In addition, you have a number of sources from Companies House, which only proves the company exists, but is not an indication that it is notable. There are only two sources from independent media organizations (Reuters and CNBC). Please don't take the rejection the wrong way. The article is a good start. I believe a couple more independent, reliable sources, preferably from reputable media organizations, are all that's needed. Rejection is not permanent, and as long as you are working on the draft, you can resubmit it. While you're at it, please work at formatting the cites in a more proper manner, which will make initial verification of the cites an easier endeavor. This can be done via Twinkle, which you can enable in the Gadgets section of your preferences page. Thanks for your contributions thus far, and please, keep editing! Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 21:23, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I need to add that some of the papers you cited in the article are written by Risk Control, and given the subject in question, is also not independent. Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 21:32, 11 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You very kindly reviewed my article a few weeks ago. I have worked on the existing sources and added a couple of new ones to try and better establish notability, as well as rectifying some of the other problems with the article. If you want to solve problems, you need to extend some sort of professional courtesy, which you have expressed little desire to do so at the moment. Firstly, you need to

WP:GOI on the Bareun Future Party issue. The issue has been brought up numerous times, and our policies have been elucidated to you numerous times. Alas, you tried to ram the changes through over, over, over, and over again, surreptitiously in some instances. That is not the way we do things here. I have been really patient with you on this issue, but I am going to be brutally honest in saying I have lost a lot of my patience on this matter. User:Garam. ESEAP Conference 2018

Hello,

I’m Punchalee, a member of the Communication Committee of the ESEAP Conference. ESEAP Conference 2018 is a regional conference for Wikimedia communities throughout the ESEAP region: ESEAP stands for East, Southeast Asia, and Pacific. Taking place in Bali, Indonesia on 5–6 May 2018, this is the first regional conference for these Wikimedia communities.

East and Southeast Asia and the Pacific are the most under-represented regions within the Wikimedia community. There is a significant number of Wikimedia contributors in our regions, yet we continue to struggle in establishing a well-managed community. This conference will bring participants from various ESEAP communities together in order to better understand the issues and to look for solutions. It also aims to connect people of the Wikimedia movement within ESEAP regions, to share ideas, and to build regional collaborations that are impossible to achieve through online communication.

We’ve got a lot of participation from several countries, but we’re lacking from your country. As we need more participants from your country, we believe that your contribution and participation would be a valuable asset to the success of this event. If you would like to participate in the conference, please do fill the form as soon as possible (by April 5, 2018) and we’ll inform you if you get selected for the conference.

Thank you and we hope to see you soon. --Pilarbini (talk) 11:06, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Reviewer Flag

Hi, Kiteinthewind.
I've noticed that you are an AfC reviewer but don't yet have the

PERM and requesting it? (check the flag requirements HERE
)
As part of a larger plan to increase cooperation between New Page Patrol and Articles for creation, we are trying to get as many of the active AfC reviewers as possible under the NPR user flag (
per this discussion). Unlike the AfC request list, the NPR flag carries no obligation to review new articles, so I'm not asking you to help out at New Page Patrol if you don't want to, just to request the flag.
Of course, if it is something you would be interested in, you can have a look at the NPP tutorial. Please mention that you are an active AfC reviewer in your application.
Cheers and thanks for helping out at AfC, — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 06:32, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, from the Portals WikiProject...

You are invited to

Portal system
...

The Portals WikiProject was rebooted 9 days ago, and is going strong. Fifty-two editors have joined so far, with more joining daily.

We're having a blast, and excitement is high...

Our goal is to update, upgrade, and maintain portals.

In addition to working directly on portals, we are developing tools to make building and maintaining portals easier. We've finished one so far, with more to come.

Discussions are underway about how to upgrade portals, and what the portals of the future will be.

There are plenty of tasks (including WikiGnome tasks too) on the WikiProject page.

With more to come.

We may even surprise ourselves and exceed all expectations. Who knows what we will be able to accomplish in what may become the biggest Wikicollaboration in years.

See ya at the WikiProject!

Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   03:19, 27 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much

The RfC discussion to eliminate portals was closed May 12, with the statement "There exists a strong consensus against deleting or even deprecating portals at this time." This was made possible because you and others came to the rescue. Thank you for speaking up.

By the way, the current issue of the Signpost features an article with interviews about the RfC and the Portals WikiProject.

I'd also like to let you know that the Portals WikiProject is working hard to make sure your support of portals was not in vain. Toward that end, we have been working diligently to innovate portals, while building, updating, upgrading, and maintaining them. The project has grown to 80 members so far, and has become a beehive of activity.

Our two main goals at this time are to automate portals (in terms of refreshing, rotating, and selecting content), and to develop a one-page model in order to make obsolete and eliminate most of the 150,000 subpages from the portal namespace by migrating their functions to the portal base pages, using technologies such as selective transclusion. Please feel free to join in on any of the many threads of development at the

WikiProject's talk page
, or just stop by to see how we are doing. If you have any questions about portals or portal development, that is the best place to ask them.

If you would like to keep abreast of developments on portals, keep in mind that the project's members receive updates on their talk pages. The updates are also posted here, for your convenience.

Again, we can't thank you enough for your support of portals, and we hope to make you proud of your decision. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   18:12, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
