I submitted my first two entries to Wikipedia yesterday. The many, many rules are more than I have the time or patience to grasp, but I'm willing to try to do it right. My first entry, "Coquelle Thompson" appeared with big flags, among which is one which said that it needs a category. I went back and gave it a category -- Native American person. That category shows up now, but the category "no category" remains and I can't figure out any way to get rid of it.

- Thats because category Native American Person doesn't exist, the name is red, you to find an existing category. Mion (talk) 19:22, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- You had to remove {{Uncategorized|date=March 2008}} in the top as wel, for the category, it is case sensitive the P from people was the problem. CheersMion (talk) 19:26, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- wikify-part1, encompass the title name like '''Millicoma''' and link to other articles you can find in the wikipedia like, [[Ghost Dance]], if the article gets long, try to make sections, more... Wikipedia:Layout.

Thank you. The article looks very good now!--Millicoma (talk) 21:01, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
Just curious about Google: Yesterday I noticed that both my Wikipedia entries -- Peterson, Annie Miner and Coquelle Thompson both showed up on Google. This morning I looked again and Coquelle Thompson isn't on Google any more. Does anyone have any idea how that works? Why it would be on one day and not the next? Thanks.--Millicoma (talk) 17:54, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
- nothing wrong with the article, google has several search algorithms, so when you made it, they used algorithm X, now a few days later they changed to algorithm Y which is maybe more sensitive to new articles, in a few days or weeks, most if the algorithms will accept the new article, best thing is to be patience..Mion (talk) 21:59, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
There was a note on Coquelle Thompson entry saying it needed internal citations. I put three of them in, one for each paragraph. The footnote numbers show, but I can't find the footnote! What am I doing wrong?--Millicoma (talk) 16:11, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
- edit the page and have a look under references, the ref's you put around the URL, move the URL into the reflist template, when you are done, remove the old plain references, to prefend doublures. Mion (talk) 16:47, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

My entry of "Peterson, Annie Miner", also had a red question mark indicatimg that I needed internal citations. I added the citations but I do not understand how to remove the red question mark.
