Archive for %(monthname)s %(year)d
In that time extensive discussion has occurred and new sections continue to be added, and many earlier topics which are basically done have not yet been archived, rendering the page harder to navigate and longer to load. Normally it is automatically archived within less than a month, but for some reason this has not occurred as of yet. I would suggest an archiving of all old topics before the "Geography" section because they have not had further discussion for more than a week. Cadiomals (talk) 03:46, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- (talk page stalker) The
{{User:MiszaBot/config ... hidden at the top of the talk page includes the line "algo = old(45d)", so threads are not archived until 45 days after the last comment. You can ask the bot to archive sooner by adjusting the "45". -- John of Reading (talk) 06:56, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Great, thanks, I adjusted it down to 30 days. I just think a talk page such as the United States which experiences constant discussion also needs to be archived sooner to clean out closed topics. For articles with little Talk discussion, the archive time could obviously be much longer. Cadiomals (talk) 07:56, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Misza13. If you're still around, could you please take a look at why this page isn't archiving properly? See commons:Commons talk:Village pump/Copyright. Magog the Ogre (t • c) 04:02, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- This edit may have fixed it. MiszaBot is very picky about parameter formats, so if it's expecting a bare integer but finds something else, it simply skips the page. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:47, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- And indeed it did. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:04, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
WikiProject Poland Newsletter • January 2014 • Issue II
Welcome to the second issue of WikiProject Poland newsletter, the Monitor (named after the first Polish newspaper).
Our Project has been operational since 1 June, 2005, and also serves as the Poland-related Wikipedia notice board. I highly recommend watchlisting the Wikipedia:WikiProject Poland page, so you can be aware of the ongoing discussions. We hope you will join us in them, if you haven't done so already! Unlike many other WikiProjects, we are quite active; we get close to a hundred discussion threads each year and we do a pretty good job at answering all issues raised. Last year we were featured in the Signpost , and our interviewer was amazed at our activity. In the end, however, even as active as we are, we are just a tiny group - you can easily become one of our core members!
In addition to a lively encyclopedic, Poland-related, English-language discussion forum, we have numerous useful tools that can be of use to you - and that you could help us maintain and develop:
This is not all; on our page you can find a list of useful templates (including userboxes), awards and other tools!
With all that said, how about you join our discussions at
WT:POLAND ? Surely, there must be something you could help others with, or perhaps you are in need of assistance yourself?
It took me three years to finish this issue. Feel free to help out getting the next one before 2017 by being more active in WikiProject management :)
