fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale
.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 03:17, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dionne Warwick

Hello: regarding Dionne Warwick's Grammy win for "I'll Never Fall In Love Again". The Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Performance Grammy is given for the song, not for the album. Please visit this site: http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0150563.html -- you will see other nominees in the Contemporary category for songs only.

Dionne won the Grammy over these other nominees, all for single releases and NOT albums: Diana Ross, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough"; Bobbie Gentry, "Fancy"; Linda Ronstadt, "Long, Long Time"; and Anne Murray, "Snowbird". Additionally, Dionne won this same award in 1969 for "Do You Know The Way To San Jose"; Peggy Lee won for the single "Is This All There Is?" in 1970; and Aretha Franklin won in 1968 for "Respect". Album covers

Hey there, I took the liberty of moving the note above from your user page to your talk page, where it should have been posted. I notice you're having some issues with fair use images being deleted. You need to include a fair use rationale for every album cover you upload. There are some

good resources here that you can check out. Basically, to use an image like Image:Sleeve BIg I say a little prayer.jpg
, you need something like this:

It is believed that the use of this non-free image in the article "I Say a Little Prayer" is fair because:

  1. No free or public domain images exist for this or any album cover.
  2. This image does not replace the original market role of the album.
  3. This should and most likely be used only on the article for the album it depicts.
  4. This image is widely distributed in other venues, so its use on Wikipedia does not make it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is.
  5. This image meets all general Wikipedia content requirements and is encyclopedic.
  6. The image significantly illustrates the object of the article.
  7. The image does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the album in any way.
  8. The cover is being used for educational and informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original album in any way, or deprive its copyright holders of any financial gain.
  9. The image is of lower resolution than the original cover. Copies made from it will be of inferior quality, and could not be used as artwork on illegal CD copies of the album.

Note that this does not claim fair use in articles other than "I Say a Little Prayer." If you wish to use this image in another article, please add a new fair use rationale below.

Hope this helps. Strobilus (talk) 05:59, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
