P.S. I like messages :-P

Hi there! Thanks for your message - I'm currently trying to get a picture that Chris daughter took to replace the one of him currently on his page. Difford.Chris_Sept2013.jpeg As I have been explaining - the picture currently on his wiki page is not a fair representation of him as a serious songwriter. He has been 21 years sober and this clearly depicts him under the influence. There are a few people who have been really helpful on my talk page - I'm just so lost on here - it confusing if you don't have a good grasp of programming - which evidently I don't. I've sent a permission to licence the pic I've uploaded to his daughter and hopefully that will suffice once she mails it through to Commons? - then I just want to ensure that someone uploads it in place of that one top right on Chris' actual page. If I can't figure out using that pic then I'll try to upload one that I've taken of him at home and upload that as well. I imagine you are very capable at all this. How does anyone learn all various symbols and what they mean?! Thanks for your offer of help. Best (Loulou660 (talk) 16:21, 20 September 2013 (UTC))[reply]

RE: U.K. Squeeze

Hello, the bot keeps changing the "U.K." in

U.K. Squeeze to "UK" throughout the article. The spelling within the context of this album does in fact include periods, and should be kept that way in the article. Thanks! Mrmctorso 06:14, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply

Draft:Phoebus the Knight gets more interesting

If you pop over to this Commons conversation you will see that the creating editor has a COI which is as a band member, thus they are engaged in UPE. I suppose either of us might have noticed it before, but the COI is well hidden in the text. I've been able to tag the article as UPE and warn the creating editor against it. They must make a declaration prior to continuing here. And the draft is actually a glorified advert.

Apologies if you are my grandmother and I am teaching to to suck eggs! Drafts are often the source of a hunt for UPE, and also (unrelated) a source for SPI. I often find that following all the threads in a draft, especially one with pictures, any pictures, leads me to interesting scenarios. It cuts down the quantity of my reviews, but it helps the overall quality of Wikipedia 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 06:48, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

November Articles for creation backlog drive

Hello Mrmctorso:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.

There is a backlog of over 2500 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:24, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
