Baalbek

Hey mate, thanks for your contributions on baalbek, i was thinking the entire ruins section should be split from the city article and moved to a new article (we could name it "Baalbek temple complex) or something, i will work on the matter when i have more time,

I want to tell about citing reference, you should say where you got your info or your contributions may be challenged for accuracy, in order to write your sources copy these syntax and fill in the blanks: for websites <ref name="xxxx">{{cite web |url=http://xxxxx.xxx.com |title=XYZ |accessdate=today's date |format=.pdf or .html etc|author=XYZ |work=name of the website}}</ref>

For books <ref name="xxxux">{{cite book | last = last name of writer | first = his forst name | authorlink = if he is on wikipedia example Khalil Gibran | coauthors = if any name them here | title = book title | publisher = ex. Gallimard | date = of publication ex. 2007 | location = ex.Paris | pages = num of total pages | url = if it's accessible online | isbn = ex. 978-2-07-011897-7}}</ref>

for journals here's an example <ref name="HT">{{cite journal | last = Young | first = Penny | authorlink = | coauthors = | title = Beirut's past comes to life | journal = History Today | volume = 45 | issue = 10 | pages = 4 | publisher = History Today | location = London | date = October 1995 | url = http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&db=aph&AN=9510172894&site=ehost-live | doi = | id = 0018-2753 | accessdate = 25-04-2008}}</ref> You can always ask me anything on my talk page, just click on the "+" sign in my signature

Thanks. I would cite a reference, but I have never found one. But I was there last year and the guy who looks after the quarry (has a cafe there) said there is a smaller stone in the next quarry. I went and measured it, and it was substantially bigger. Don't have the measurements with me, but I seem to remember a meter wider and two meters longer. The evidence is in the photo.

Hey mate, I'm so glad you are so passionate about the site, i'm sure you'll be hooked on wikipedia too, passion is great but "the man at the cafe" is not a reference :D Beware of

Holland. I visit most of these ancient sites, and Baalbek is about the best. I have uploaded a pic of the underground tunnels. The two building eras is very clear on this pic, and if the arch is Roman, as it appears, then the lower sections must be much older.

I did say it was my photo, so I don't know what you deleted it.
