A couple of problems

I ran into a couple of problems with the articles you are creating.

  1. For NAME and DEFAULTSORT you are using: Aroch, Arie, Israeli, born Russia, 1908-1974 It should be just: Aroch, Arie. Adding the other stuff messes up some of the parameters.
  2. You don't need to make dates a wikilink. 1945 should just be 1945.
  3. In the infobox, you add birth_date. Could you also add death_date?
  4. For both the birth and death in the infoboxes, use some templates. The templates get picked up by computer algorithms. So and example would be {{Birth date|1945}} {{Death date|1950}} Template:Death date has more information.

Looks like you are new. Wikipedia has a ton of little rules that make things daunting. Don't worry about as it looks like you are creating articles about important painters. If you have an questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Keep up the good work. Bgwhite (talk) 06:07, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just left a message at User talk:Drkup. Everything I said there goes for you too as I want to see you succeed at adding new articles. Bgwhite (talk) 06:23, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article

reliable source
that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see

reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. I added the link to the Hebrew page which is some of the source of informationhe:מיכל נאמן please do not delete Drkup(IMJ) (talk) 21:01, 31 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I saw the article was tagged. I removed the tag because the article was sourced properly. An editor that was new to tagging didn't realize that sources in the external link section was ok to have. Bgwhite (talk) 08:55, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

Avoiding copyright problems

Hello, and welcome. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be

blocked
from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to visit me at my talk page. Thank you. It looks like you copied the short biography directly from the Isreali Museum, Jerusalem article on Mr. Danziger, including its odd phrasing. --VikÞor | Talk 15:48, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem: Yohanan Simon

Hello, and

welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Yohanan Simon, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.imj.org.il/artcenter/default.asp?artist=274799&list=S, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked
from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow

Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines
.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Yohanan Simon saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:57, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We will also need verified permission for the following articles:
Under the circumstances, it might be simplest to ask the museum to change their copyright statement so that it does not reserve all rights, but instead licenses the content so that we can use it. If they will not do this, they can send a letter as described above releasing the specific text. Otherwise, I'm afraid, we will have to remove it, as our copyright policy does not allow us to reproduce previously published text without verification of license. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:41, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
