Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:The Fading - Chaos in Flesh EP 2007.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{

That's great, thanks. As long as you're sure there's no issue with the image being released under that license (may be worth contacting the band, just to be sure). I've added to the image page a little to explain some of the things you mentioned on my talk page- thanks for clarifying this for me. J Milburn (talk) 15:46, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit of the Fading

Hey dude, I just changed it cuz it is like that on the band members section in the band's myspace, so I based the names on that.

--SlayerXT (talk), 10 July 2008

I see. Well, I wrote the names this way for a reason. Paul is the international name of Pavel, and Aranovič is the original writing of Aranovich, though the last one doesn't matter. I'll revert the Paul change.
Boris (Nomæd) A. (talk) 15:03, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, cool. Btw, how you did it that wikipedia would not delete the page? :O I created some pages for other Israeli bands (I created for The Fading as well before it got deleted) like They:Swarm, Phantom Pain and Immaterial, but only the Phantom Pain one is somehow still alive, others were deleted by Wikipedia. I think we just need to get more Israeli metal and punk bands into wikipedia :D
SlayerXT (talk), 10 July 2008
Well, thats what i did. When i first created the first page for The Fading, i also gave a bunch of information including the information about the Wacken Metal Battle including a link to the metal battle website and more links to rockdetector.com, myspace and such. And it was okay for like 5 days, then they sent me a message that they want to delete the page and all. it might happen to the current page you created too =/
SlayerXT (talk) 20:54, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Fading

Okay, sorry about that. It read that in some place but yeah it wasn't 100% and all, and then i saw no confirmation on the myspace but forgot to edit it again. Sorry. Btw, could you start pages for "Solitary" and "Matricide", they are also two cool and very known Israeli metal bands (at least in the israeli metal scene) but i keep writing pages for them and wikipedia keeps deleting them. ><

SlayerXT (talk) 18:33, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

We worked in the same company for a year and i didn't know that you write for Wikipedia or that you are interested in Linguistics.

Very strange.

I'm glad to see you here. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 14:41, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

True. It never came up ;) -Nomæd (Boris A.) (user, talk, contribs) 15:00, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I should have thought that Shlomo is not the only linguist there, when i saw that you spell your name with a č... --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 16:58, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Shlomo is a linguist? Had no idea ;) -Nomæd (Boris A.) (user, talk, contribs) 17:10, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Civilians wounded

Can you please find the reference for the civilians wounded.[1] I have tried to find it but couldn't. If we can't find references, then we should remove it.VR talk 16:43, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It was already updated (although someone removed one dead solider, again...) -Nomæd (Boris A.) (user, talk, contribs) 22:10, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chart

I replied on the Wikipedia talk page for the chart:

By the way, I noticed in the previous talk section here some discussion concerning casualty references. Check out the image summary on the chart page: File:Gaza-Israel war casualties.png . It links to the reference URLs for the numbers of dead and wounded. --Timeshifter (talk) 18:16, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great, thanks :)

About the previous discussion here, it was some minor reference removal issue. But I'll check your links too. -Nomæd (Boris A.) (user, talk, contribs) 06:32, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not insinuate that I am an anti-Semite

For I am not. Karldoh (talk) 10:19, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Don't make that hugh mistake

The overwhelming majority of the editors are obviously pro-palestinians, to say the least. We can't just leave the article to their mercy. Consider it as a part of the fight. You are letting them win by giving up on the article. I can hardly stand the burst of anti-Israeli incitement alone. Please re-consider.--Omrim (talk) 14:42, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chaos in Flesh

The categories should not have been included in the first place. Please see

Wikipedia:ALBUM#Categories. J Milburn (talk) 22:49, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply
]

Errr, am I missing something? I saw that the musical genre is also supposed to be category... And more specifically: "For album articles, there are three "top-level" categories: Category:Albums by artist, Category:Albums by year and Category:Albums by genre." -Nomæd (Boris A.) (user, talk, contribs) 08:55, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah- read on. Only two of the top level categories go on the album page (year and artist). The other (genre) along with nationality, go on the artist category. Therefore, no albums, apart from compilation albums featuring many artists, should be placed directly in the genre categories. J Milburn (talk) 16:40, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh sorry, you're right. I shouldn't read Wiki policies right after waking up ;) -Nomæd (Boris A.) (user, talk, contribs) 07:46, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:The Fading 2012 band.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:The Fading 2012 band.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to

}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the
