Hello, Nscwikiedt, and

welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Duplicate metadata records, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines

Proposed deletion of Duplicate metadata records

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Duplicate metadata records, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Reads like an ad for NES, which may be unsurprising based on the edit history of the primary contributor. While there are sources, this seems to tread on WP:SYN and many passages aren't sourced & appear to be original research.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's

dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page
.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the

proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Karnesky (talk) 13:11, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply

The article Zoecracy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This appears to be made-up; either
reliable sources
.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be

deleted for any of several reasons
.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{

dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page
.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{

dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Chzz  ►  12:32, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply

I have nominated Zoecracy, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zoecracy. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Schuhpuppe (talk) 10:17, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Zoecracy, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://meaningism.org/governance.asp.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read

the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard

to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on

section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing
.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Note

Hi. I see you are the original creator of the article, so I thought I should inform you of my rationale for deleting. The article appears almost word-for-word the same as the version discussed at

Articles for Deletion
, and the new sources do not appear to actually mention anything called 'zoeocracy' (at least, the term gets 0 results at Google Books and Google Scholar). This is not to mention the copyright concerns.

In order to get the article created at this stage, you would need to go to

Deletion Review. It Is Me Here t / c 13:47, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply

OK, let me start with the positive. I am glad that you have now provided a source for this, and therefore that it is not just something you made up. Having said which:
  1. The article did not reflect the nature of what Zoecracy is. Note that your source (whence I quote in this sentence) is a 'proposal' put forward in the 'opinion' section of a student magazine. Your article does not indicate in any way that "Zoecracy" was the subject of an op-ed written by some undergraduates, but rather discussed it as if it were a well-established political-scientific term like
    notability
    criteria.
  2. There are also copyright concerns regarding the body of the article itself.
All in all, your best course of action is to (a) gather more independent, third-party sources on this subject if you can and then (b) submit a case at
Wikipedia:DELREV, seeking community consensus to recreate the article. Also, as a procedural matter, please bring up issues/post comments in one place only (i.e. there was no need to (re)create Talk:Zoecracy). Hope that helps. It Is Me Here t / c 15:40, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply

Please stop recreating this talkpage for a non-existent article. Yunshui  14:38, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Zoecracy

This article was deleted as a result of the deletion debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zoecracy. That means you cannot just put it in again. You have first to convince user Cirt (talk), who closed the deletion discussion, that you can overcome the reasons for deletion; if he does not agree, you can go to WP:Deletion review. I see you have a new userspace draft at User:Nscwikiedt/Zoecracy, which you can point to.

But a single reference in the Cape Town Globalist which shows that somebody has invented this word will not be enough for a Wikipedia article: the

WP:42
.
