Haha that is freakin' sweet. I've unfortunately slowed my particpation on Wikipedia, but I still love the site. You're in fact probably the first *Internet* person that I know in real life. The snow is still sticking even up here - it looks unblievable. The trip home wasn't good (3 in the backseat+being in the middle = cramps) but the tournament was really cool. How did you do?--Etaonish 15:12, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

Ypsi and trivia
Hmm, you're right, I misread the guideline a bit. Still, I have to think every random reference to Ypsilanti should be incorporated into the article. The yardstick that I use is: does it tell the reader something important about the subject of the article, or is it more about the subject of the trivia? So for instance, when I hear about a band with a record coming out, do I really read that as a fact about Ypsi, or a fact about the band? On that basis, I think both the Sufjan Stevens and the Blood-whatever Calligraphy bits are really non-starters as far as understanding Ypsi is concerned, whereas the compilation of songs by Ypsi bands has something to say about the music scene in Ypsi. Does that sound like a reasonable distinction? · rodii · 16:13, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ypsisongs is "music in Ypsilanti". Sufjan Stevens goes under "Ypsilanti in music". The inclusion of either of these adds value to the article. That's my yardstick. — Omphaloscope 17:49, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

Greetings! I see you have recently created one or more new stub templates or categories. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types be proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. This helps to reach consensus about whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Discoveries, where comments are welcome as to any rationale for this stub type. Please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals!This message is a boilerplate, left here as a courtesy, and should not be considered personal in nature. Sufjan Stevens edit
Hi there. I made the edit because of the wording of the sentence--specifically the phrase "in support of this album." Where the sentence is, it appears that "this album" either refers to the Christmas box set compilation or it appears that a sentence is missing. It does not logically follow (for the person reading the article) that "this album" refers four sentences back to Rosie Thomas's album. If the chronology is an issue, let's just change "this album" to "These Friends of Mine," assuming we agree that is the intended meaning, yeah? Of course we have no citation here to verify it...but it doesn't make any sense the way it is right now. Cheers,
