Hey there! Welcome to Wikipedia, Pete, I hope you have a fun and productive time on here. In regards to Gyroscope, that would be ace. 11th Airborne Division is going through an A-Class Review at the moment, which is where a group of editors decide whether to give the article the A-Class status, meaning it is a very well written and cited article. It won't take much longer and looks set to pass, so I was hoping that we could hold off writing Gyroscope for a few days, nothing more. Which sources will you be using to write the article piece, out of interest?

Hey there! No need to apologize, I've been taken over by real-life matters the past week, so no problems there. That source document is brilliant and I'll start incoporating it when I get time. Unfortunately, and I am loathe to have to say this, your own recollections and those of other veterans cannot be used. Wikipedia has a rather strict policy of all sources that are used in articles being reliable and verifiable; whilst primary materials can be used, secondary sources are recommended, and only then when a fact can be verified in multiple sources. I've only been here a few months and I still don't understand it all, but the gist of it can be found at

in an essay/guideline. I can't say I agree with it all of the time, but I have to admit it's a required evil, especially when you get into areas like the Balkans, Central Europe, War Atrocities and the like.
