Aparachit 2

Why do you feel this dubbed film warrants an article? Editor 2050 (talk) 13:14, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It's not me who created that article. It's a user called Selvamagan77 who did so. I felt that there can be more data added if the article is purposefully created. That's why I added it.

Okay, the usual policy on dubbing films is that the information should just be added to the original page. Moreover, it looks like Aparachit 2 did not have a theatrical release - it was dubbed and released on video only - and it's unlikely that even the makers/actors of the film know about it's existence. It is certainly not notable enough to have a separate page. Editor 2050 (talk) 13:24, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

OK, so I will not add anymore data about Aparichit 2, friend. What you said is 100% correct. Being a Vikram fan, I watched and loved this film. So, please also mind if anyone recreates this article, do exactly the same what you earlier did. Thanks a lot.

Thank you, too! Enjoy 10 Endrathukulla. Editor 2050 (talk) 13:31, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, friend! Will see it definitely!

March 2016

Information icon Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia.

In this edit you added that Sethupathi became a "Box Office Hit" (italics yours). This is meaningless subjective fluff and constitutes

undue weight given to one outlet's opinion. If a film receives a low critical response at Rotten Tomatoes
we don't write, "the film was rotten". "Declared hit", "failure", "flop", "super-hit" and "all-time super-blockbuster status" have no place in articles.

In this edit you wrote "The film opened well and became a Box Office success." But the reference you submitted says nothing about "success".

In this edit you changed "it was above average at box office" to "it was a moderate success at the box office", but the existing reference says nothing to support either perspective, which suggests that you're just editorializing.

In this edit you say "The film released on 4 March 2016 to positive reviews". This is a broad statement that describes the entirety of critical response, and is only supported by a single cherrypicked review (which, by the way, gives the film a lukewarm 3/5 stars, making it an exceptionally poor choice if you're trying to say the film received positive reviews). If I were to find two negative reviews and add them as references, would I be able to change the summary to "mostly negative reviews". No, because we shouldn't be summarizing critical response without attributing that summary to a reliable source. That is: a reliable published source has to say "the film received mostly positive reviews". We are not critical response aggregators.

Wikipedia is not a forum for us to express our opinions. It is an objective encyclopedia. Content must be properly sourced, must be written

from a neutral point of view and we must take great efforts to avoid promoting subjects through biased language. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:47, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply

reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diff: [1] It would have taken less time to paste a reference than it would to type that edit summary. Genre is subjective, often disputed, and needs to be adequately supported with references.
