Inconsistencies in the Star Trek Canon
Hi ritchy, what happened to the inconsistencies article? thanks. Magic Pickle 18:31, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I could see this one coming... is there anywhere on Wikipedia where we can keep the article going with as much OR as we like? I'm thinking someones talk page maybe? i'd be happy to put it on mine, thanks. —The preceding
This is in reasonable state, but I think incomplete: it needs some more research and expansion as to its use as iconic phrase. We seem to have lost the mention of the vulgar meaning of "where no man has gone before", as well. Morwen - Talk 07:54, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It should indeed not be a laundry list, but instead we can find some secondary source talking about how it has become an iconic phrase. vulgar meaning is the one B5 used, and also the one Shatner used in his "Get a life" speech. Morwen - Talk 16:02, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Another obvious thing is that it contains no defence of the so-called "split infinitive" : "to boldly go". This can be relatively easily sourced : I think Crystal has written about it, for one. Morwen - Talk 16:05, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Star Trek Canon
I'm the author of CanonWars.com. I just wanted to thank you for carrying my research on the topic to a larger audience with your massive change to the Wikipedia article. Many of the references were very difficult to track down and collect over the years, and it pleases me no end to see them put to more use. DSG2k 09:21, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I saw in the article history that you've contributed a lot to it, so thought I'd drop this here. --EEMeltonIV 06:07, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:MasterSword.PNG
Thanks for uploading Image:MasterSword.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{

Klingon as Star Trek canon
That's a very interesting issue I hadn't given any thought to before. My opinion, for what it's worth, is that since Paramount hired Okrand to create the language, and uses the language he created, the whole language as Okrand presented it to Paramount is canon. However, the fact that there is no new Star Trek on the air deflates my argument a little bit. ShutterBugTrekker 23:09, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
