Thanks

Hi, I meant to tackle you about your accusation of trolling on Aaron's talk page, but I see that you went back and modified it. Thanks, I appreciate the effort. Please do accept that, like you, I'm trying to make Wikipedia better. If something I do looks like I'm acting in bad faith, why not come to my talk page and discuss it? I may agree with you and modify my behavior. --Tony SidawayTalk 11:32, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Want some help?

I'd be happy to give you a hand at Wikipedia:Requested moves if you'd like, but I'm wondering what standard procedure is in a case like this- [1]. Should I just move it, despite having only one vote?--Scimitar parley 15:24, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

MedCom (last time)

Okay! Now! Relist yourself, we've discussed this thorougly on the mailing list and one or two or three of us even said we were waiting for you to relist. Look forward to working with you ;-) Redwolf24 (talk) 01:36, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Even retrieving one of your previous nominations will do, in fact I'll do that myself, go reject it if you have lost interest.

Popups tool

Congratulations on being made an admin! I thought you might like to know of a javascript tool that may help in your editing by giving easy access to many admin features. It's described at Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups. The quick version of the installation procedure for admins is to paste the following into User:Ryan Norton/Archive5/monobook.js:

// [[User:Lupin/popups.js]] - please include this line

document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="'
             + '&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>');

popupShortcutKeys=true; // optional: enable keyboard shortcuts
popupAdminLinks=true; // optional: enable admin links

There are more options which you can fiddle with listed at Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups. Give it a try and let me know if you find any glitches or have suggestions for improvements! Lupin|talk|popups 23:33, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

OK, I'm nagging

Hi there, sorry to nag, but I'm antsy to see Cheese acheive FA status. What I should do is take a breath, muster some patience... NAH, who am I kidding? Could you review the work that's been done to address your objections on Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Cheese/archive1? Thanks. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 23:43, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

  • Thanks for responding. By the way, let me know if you need any more really scathing criticism for your user page :-) Seriously, here's hoping you aren't too stressed out. Maybe we need term limits for adminship; some of the more-established crew seem to be a little too convinced of their infallibility. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 19:50, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

RFC

Hi there! I have openend an RFC on Tony Sidaway's frequent incivility and poor response to criticism. I would appreciate your opinion on the matter. If I understand correctly from his talk page, you have recently tried to discuss this very issue with him, and it didn't really resolve anything. I hope that an RFC may be more fruitful. Yours, Radiant_>|< 12:33, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

Hello RN, thank you very much for your suggestions at the peer review for Acu-gen. I have now made substantial updates and improvements to the article. If you have the opportunity to re-read the article and offer further advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Johntex\talk 21:52, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

IRC

Kim bruning suggested you get on IRC, RIGHT NOW, and talk with Tony Sidaway, and maybe we can figure this out. Redwolf24 (talk) 00:16, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

Hmm, apparently you'd already POed Tony too much :-( *sigh*. I take it it's because you're overworked already? Oh my. Don't take on extra responsibilites just yet then. Though I'm certain you'll be quite competent once you've got your stress levels under control.
I've learnt that prioritisation, delegation, and sleep, are the top 3 things that help with this :-)

out of things

I saw your last edit to your user page. There's always something to do. Want a job?

WP:AFD, we're always backlogged there, and help is always appreciated. If you don't know how to close AfD's, leave me a note and I'll tell you how. Redwolf24 (talk
) 22:44, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

  • What the? I just came to thank you for voting on my RfA (twice!) and saw your userpage. Please don't go, there's plenty of things you can do. I was always worried about editing things that I thought I knew nothing about, but its easy to just get stuck in. Not to mention all the little maintenance tasks that some people (myself included) somewhat perversely enjoy. the wub "?!" 14:00, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
  • Oh, man, there's so much to do, don't leave! I came to thank you for my RfA too, but that's beyond the point Titoxd(?!?) 17:14, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

TINSC

There isn't a school cabal (really), but if there were, it'd be some users trying to work to replace the shrillness in school AFDs with dialogue, and assert that civility is more important than partisanship. If it existed (and it doesn't, really), it'd be dedicated to getting people to stop sniping and start talking.

There's no school cabal, really, but would you be interested in being a member if there were? - A Man In Black (conspire | past ops) 20:53, 26 October 2005 (UTC)

Bounty Board

Greetings. You've recently been involved with working on get articles up to featured status, so I wanted to let you know about a new page, Wikipedia:Bounty board. People have put up monetary bounties for certain articles reaching featured status - if the article makes it, the bounty lister donates the stated amount of money to the Wikimedia Foundation. So you can work on making articles featured, and donate other people's money at the same time. If this sounds interesting, I hope you stop by. – Quadell (talk) (bounties) 13:37, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

Evidence of Tony Sidaway's Misconduct

I am currently amassing evidence of the misconduct demonstrated by User:Tony Sidaway and would appreciate your help in the matter. If you would please post any contributions you may have to User:TheChief/Evidence I would appreciate it very much. TheChief (PowWow) 23:36, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

I'm sorry, and I'm sorry to see that

I just came by to apologize for not helping out more with page moves- I'm changing jobs, and my new one means that in two weeks (when I start) I'm not going to be around only rarely- if at all. Hence no time for new tasks. I'm sorry to see you've decided to leave. I hope you reconsider; Tony often comes across as far more hostile than I think he intends to, although I'm ignorant of your particular situation. All the best, and I hope you decide to come back here. --Scimitar parley 16:53, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

Hey there

Come back some time, OK. All the best. :) encephalon 21:44, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

Hey there, just wanted to let you know that there's plenty to do. You could stick to welcoming and helping out new users or you could try improving things with the random article button. Of course, you could also help me improve articles related to

If you do in which I belive u will come back someday u coukd remove your self from that list.:) Thanks --JAranda | watz sup 16:34, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

A little message of support :)

Hiya. I ended up on your user page kinda by accident by following loads of links, and looked at the old versions of your page and at how much you'd accomplished so quickly, and I just want to say I hope you come back soon, it would be so sad to lose such a dedicated wikipedian. Looks like your friends on here feel the same way and are missing you. I'm sure you'll get a warm welcome if you come back :) GhostGirl 11:05, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

Holy Cow!

That it took me this long to realize you were gone makes me feel quite dumb. I'm so very sorry you left, but I understand exactly why. It is easy, though, to ignore that fool what's-his-name, and I know he'll get his due, so the way is always open for your return. If you are really gone, then I am happy for whatever place will have the benefit of your reason and talent. Best wishes, Xoloz 07:07, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

Hope you are doing OK

I was shocked to see you had left, but I guess that explains why I haven't seen your signature around lately. Good luck and I hope you come back to wikipedia sometime -- I think you are a very good editor. ManekiNeko | Talk 20:09, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
