This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Dead Famous, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.thedeadfamous.co.uk/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Ignore this; he forgot to delete it after he reverted the speedy deletion request. ;) —Zenexer [talk] 08:35, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!

Hello, Squrtl, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you already managed to find a band that was missing an article, and started a page for them. Awesome job. There's one catch, though: you can't copy content from other webpages, generally. It's against the law in most countries, including the US and countries in the UK, due to

copyright laws. As such, The Dead Famous might be deleted by an administrator; if that link is red, it's been deleted. Whether or not it gets deleted, you're more than welcome to give it another try. This time, use the source webpage as a reference, instead of just rewording its text. Just add this after a paragraph based on the thedeadfamous.co.uk
, for example:

<ref>{{cite|url=http://www.thedeadfamous.co.uk/|title=The Dead Famous|accessdate=YYYY-MM-DD}}</ref>

You'll notice that I put YYYY-MM-DD in there. That's where you put the date that you accessed the website for reference purposes.

I hope you'll give it another go. If you need any help, please let me know; you can contact me on my talk page. Good luck! —Zenexer [talk] 08:35, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed that you started the page in your userspace before copying it to the article namespace. Very impressive! In the future, you can actually move the whole page, including its history. It doesn't really matter when you're the only contributor, but it's nice to have the actual editing history attached to the article. Depending on your settings, the "Move" link should be in the upper-right corner of each page, possibly within a menu. —Zenexer [talk] 08:41, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
