Magazine request

Hey, I noticed at

Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Magazines/PC Gamer (US) that you have the March 1999 issue that mentions Midtown Madness. If this is true, could you please email me a copy - my email is [email protected]
.

Thanks in advance, giggy (:O) 05:16, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

I see you have two issues which mention Planescape: Torment. The article recently had a major overhaul to become a "Good Article", and soon there might be a push for FA. Do you still have your November 1998 and March 2000 issues of PC Gamer available? If you could help in anyway, that would be great. You can e-mail me if you'd like. — Twas Now ( talkcontribse-mail ) 12:23, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Magazine question

Do you, perchance, have the April 1999 issue of PC Gamer US? It contains a review of Thief: The Dark Project that would be extremely helpful, as that article is currently undergoing a very successful collaboration. I know you aren't listed as having it, but since the issues you listed were so random and far apart, I thought that you might have been giving a general outline of the issues of PC Gamer US that you have. If not, I apologize in advance. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 23:20, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, those are indeed the only issues I own (from that time frame). I wasn't a subscriber then, just a kid who bought an issue whenever he had the cash :)
I hope you are able to track down the issue! --SubSeven (talk) 23:08, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 02:26, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:Dragonblazetitlescr.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to

fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Hi. Looks like I've asked you for Thief material before, but here I am again. It is listed here that a The Dark Project preview is in the September 1997 issue of PC Gamer US. If you have time, scans/photos/etc. of this preview would be extremely helpful. I'm preparing to make a large push on the article, and I need all the material I can get my hands on. Thanks. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 06:00, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I don't have this issue either. No wonder I wasn't into Thief much :) For what it's worth, User:Thibbs is the one who posted that Sep. 1997 issue, although he didn't 'sign' it. --SubSeven (talk) 01:16, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
Oh; sorry to bother you again. I was sure that you'd merely forgotten to sign it, since you were the one with all of the issues surrounding it. Looks like Thibbs is still editing, though, so I'll drop a note on his talk page. Thanks for the tip. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 02:10, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

Heroes of Might and Magic

Thanks SubSeven for cleaning this reception section up, that's all I was looking for. I had no idea how to cleanly reference an existing citation twice in one article, hence I did not do it! :)Mike padilla (talk) 23:11, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

I saw your new edits. Looks good! --SubSeven (talk) 00:34, 23 February 2012 (UTC)

Please stop undoing my small contribution. There is no reason : all I say is true, and I can cite the change log of 1.2 to prove it : there is no mention of the AI being fixed, the balance being fixed, or countless other bugs reported being fixed. Even Ubisoft has acknowledge what I said, by saying they have still many patches to make (roughly 4 more). Your statement needs to be properly sourced. You have links on your talk page which introduce you to using references on Wikipedia. Let me know if you have any specific questions about that. And a changelog is probably not a sufficient source. --SubSeven (talk) 03:37, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

PC Gamer

Hi! I was told by User:Thibbs that you own some old PC Gamer US issues. Could you mail me some scans of The Curse of Monkey Island preview from July 1997 issue (provided that you have it, of course)? Thanks in advance, Electroguv (talk) 11:31, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi there, I have a handful of issues from that time period, but July 1997 is not one of them, I'm afraid. --SubSeven (talk) 16:50, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
Sorry to hear that. Still, thanks for your time. Electroguv (talk) 19:08, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Apologize for this. was not privy to WP rules and regulations regarding sourced content etc. Will refrain and leave such opinion for other blogs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.238.117.186 (talk) 20:36, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Please do not vandalize the article for Black Swan again. Or you will be reported. Adminstrators have already agreed that "critical acclaim" is an opinion, and cannot be used to describe a film's critical reception. Thank you.--Norgizfox5041 (talk) 18:43, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Which admins would those be? --SubSeven (talk) 20:24, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
A lenghty discussion about it took place at the talk page of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. Now i already warned you once of vandalizing the article, and you did it again. If you revert it, you WILL be reported. Thank you.--Norgizfox5041 (talk) 21:29, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
First of all, nothing that has happened here is 'vandalism'. I read the page that you linked, and administrators agreed on no such thing. The one admin who was participating was coming down more on your side, if anything.
If you disagree with the editors involved in the conversation above, then your next step should probably be initiating a
WP:POINT. --SubSeven (talk
) 23:02, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
The source for Black Swan isn't even accurate. The Rotten Tomatoes page does not say anywhere that it received "widespread acclaim".--Norgizfox5041 (talk) 00:17, 31 July 2012 (UTC)

Sega Saturn - your comment and revert of the edit

Hi SubSeven,

I am the webmaster of the site that you just deleted the link with an obscure comment on the Sega Saturn page.
It was the first time I added myself the link to my site, and I don't understand your comment.
Could you explain the meaning of your comment and what you don't like about the site ? Why do I feel so much anger in your words ?
My goal is not to spam Wikipedia or anything else that could hurt people of other sites and I want to understand why you reacted this way.

Thanks for your reply and your interest, and sorry if I misused something here as I am new to Wikipedia.

Cheers,

Madroms (talk) 21:40, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi SubSeven. Sorry to bother you, but I'm working on a rewrite of the Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain article, and the reference library notes that you're able to provide an old writeup on the game. The issue in question is December 1997 of the US edition of PC Gamer. If it's not an imposition, could I ask you to send a scan, or any material, from the review in this magazine if you get a chance? Anything you can send would be very much appreciated, but thanks for your time in any case. --LoK Wiki (talk) 16:36, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Well I've embarrassingly just realised that I somehow completely forgot to offer my gratitude to you for retrieving this scan. Definitely going to make use of it soon, so I hope it's not inappropriate to say an extremely belated thank you very much. --LoK Wiki (talk) 22:01, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
No trouble at all, you're welcome! --SubSeven (talk) 01:25, 14 March 2013 (UTC)

Go ahead, remove it. Mtking is stating a falsehood as if it were fact, and using it as a foundation for his DRV. We wouldn't want anybody to know that, now, would we? Let him lie. --SubSeven (talk) 17:43, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
