GEN Hamilton

If GEN Charles R. Hamilton remains suspended and/or reassigned through 22 May 2024, he will lose two stars, and revert back to his permanent rank of major general. Neovu79 (talk)

Didn't realise he was suspended. Thanks for letting me know! SuperWIKI (talk) 07:20, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Predictions for 3-star nominees submitted 05/14/2024

@SuperWIKI @KingEdinburgh@Neovu79

Let's check back in 18 hours and see how accurate I am.

Army

-LTG Bernabe: Deputy Commander, US Army Europe and Africa.

-MG Eifler: III Corps, First Army, or US Army North.

Navy

-RADM Anderson: Either US Sixth Fleet or Naval Inspector General.

-RADM Pappano: Strategic Systems Programs.

-RADM Lacore and RADM French are definitely getting Chief of the Navy Reserve and Judge Advocate General of the Navy, respectively.

Air Force

-Lt. Gen. Bauernfeind: Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy.

-Maj. Gen. Hensley: Commander, 16th Air Force.

-Maj. Gen. Tabor: NATO Special Operations HQ.

-Brig. Gen. Conley: Air Force Special Operations Command. (Note: he'll be the third Air Force 1-star in as many years to skip the 2-star rank after Lt. Gen. Caroline Miller and Lt. Gen. Dale White).

-Maj. Gen. DeGoes is definitely getting Surgeon General of the Air Force. EPMen (talk) 03:17, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Army: 1 for 2.
Navy: 3 for 4.
Air Force: 4 for 5. Bauernfeind surprised me. SuperWIKI (talk) 06:38, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ret. ADM Burke arrested

I thought this article might interest you. Retired ADM Robert P. Burke faces 30 years in prison if convicted in a contract bribery scheme. If convicted, I expect him to retroactively lose at least two-stars in retirement, at the minimum. It would not surprise me if he is reduced to ensign, and lose virtually all retirement benefits. Neovu79 (talk) 08:18, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Already following this - I expected only a one-star loss though, since at the moment the article stated the offences during his time commanding NAVEUR-AF (4-star). SuperWIKI (talk) 08:20, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I feel that the length of time in prison will be a contributing factor. 30 year prison sentence is a very serious offense. Not saying that he would get 30 years, let alone go to prison at all. But I don't think that the U.S. government would want use taxpayer money to fund his retirement at four-star grade, if he were a convicted felon. Neovu79 (talk) 22:44, 5 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
